Chapter One. Dove.
I woke up that morning, looking up to my formally carved ceiling that showed flowers and doves holding ribbons. I turned to look at my clock. It was early still. 5:00am.
I got up and looked around my dark room. It was neat and formally designed. I had my very own bathroom and a balcony. My balcony curtains were white and ghastly transparent. I walked to my balcony and opened the two glass doors my curtains covered, but not very well.
A gust of wind blew my dark black hair back and I closed my emerald green eyes. I walked out on the white stone flooring of my balcony bare-footed.
The moon was full and shinning brightly. It seemed that it was only shinning on me for a brief moment.
I hugged myself, crossing my arms over my chest. My gray, closer to white, short-sleeved night gown didn't keep me warm on this oddly cold summer night.
The stars twinkled just like the nursery rhyme promised, but dark clouds rolled in, quickly. The brightness of the moon disappeared and chilled tickle ran down my spin, making me gasp and run inside, shutting and locking the balcony doors behind me. This feeling has been going on for about 3 days now.
Something seemed wrong, or something bad and eerie was soon to happen. It felt like Halloween, but kids were not dressed in costumes. No candy was being giving out. Only the cold, creepy atmosphere surrounded me. Enclosing me like being sucked in to the dark despairs of the Abyss. Tomorrow was the first day back to school from the long 2 and a half long summer vacation.
I wonder how a girl like me would do in a school like that. I was home-schooled all my life. My parents were rich. Apparently, they died somewhere last year and now I can't afford to be home schooled like a was. I know more than your usual 17 year old would. I'd probably get all A's in school. Maybe some B's.
The most important thing I worried about was making friends. I didn't want people to call me a snooty rich girl, because I'm not. I never asked my parents for anything. They just provided me with what I needed.
I'm going to pretend that I am not rich tomorrow. I won't wear anything formal. Maybe a Gir shirt with dark, black skinny jeans. My high top converse would probably go good with that outfit. Yes.
I smiled to myself. I looked into my long mirror that showed all my body.
I had C sized breast and I was skinny and curvy. Many people asked me to go in for modeling, due to my looks and body. Apparently I'm pretty, beautiful, and sexy. Unfortunately, it was true. I wasn't bad looking at all.
My mother used to warn me around guys. She'd say, "Boys would easily take advantage of a delicate flower like you without hesitation, so be careful."
I decided to get ready for school, since I had to be there at 7:30 am.
I hopped back into my comfortable bed that made cotton feel hard. IT wasn't long before sleep overcame me.
Chapter 2. Crow
I heard my father growl as he walked past me, brushing my shoulder. It's not my fault that Curt was killed. I swear, there is not one thing that man hasn't blamed on me. I didn't care, either.
That man wasn't even my blood related father. He just wanted us to refer to him as our father. He's nothing but a monster. A monster who changed me to join 'The Dark Side'.
I hated being a vampire. I wish I never went through with it. It's like I made a deal with the Devil.
I rolled my eyes and walked out of the log cabin we stayed in. My father decided to make us, a family of vampires, move and blend in this humans in this town. That meant me and my little sister, Jeanne, have to go to school.
Jeanne was a slut. She through herself at any guy, but she always got what she wanted from them. Blood.
I decided to use my tantrum time to walk around. A guy has needs, too. Maybe a hooker around the corner would be fun. Though, there was enough in school that gladly through themselves at me.
I smirked at the thought and started walking down the street.
I walked past the large white house I've been purposely walking past for the past 3 days. Every night, a beautiful girl comes out on the white balcony and looks at the moon. The moon shinned on her porcelain skin. She was like a white dove. Her long black hair and emerald green eyes fit her very well. Her lips were a light pink and plush. I didn't even know the girl, but I wanted to kiss her. Just the looks of her made me want to protect her, despite the fact that the only thing I could protect her from is probably myself...
Tonight she wasn't there. The moon was hidden by a dark cloud.
I decided to head home and get ready for school tomorrow.
Chapter 3. Dove.
The next day, I got ready for school. The butler drove me in a regular car, thankfully.
I got assigned a homeroom.
I walked in and a bunch of kids looked at me. Some waved, some looked away and scowled, and I heard a boy in the back whistle.
"Oh, you must be Riley?" I heard the teacher say from behind her desk.
I nodded shyly.
"What's up, Seth?" a boy called, looking behind me.
I looked behind me to a boy. His eyes flicked to mine and they widened.
I blushed and looked back to the teacher.
The boy just nodded coldly and sat next to the other boy. The teacher walked over to me and smiled.
"You're a very pretty girl, Riley."
"Ah- Thank you." I gave her another shy smile.
"Please, call me Ms. Raven," She smiled, showing pearly white teeth and pointed to a chair in the back by the window, "Please take a seat."
I nodded shyly and went to the seat. I sat down and sighed, trying to calm down my fast beating heart. Two girls turned to me.
"Hey there, new girl. Where did you come from?" One asked. She had curly dirty blond hair and crystal blue eyes. She was very pretty.
"Actually, I've been home schooled all of my life until now. I live two blocks from here." I smiled shyly once again.
"Really? I've never seen you around." The other girl pointed out, quizzically. She had straight brown hair and dark chocolate brown eyes. She was also very pretty.
"I didn't leave my house very much," I added, shyly. They giggled at me.
"You're so cute!" The brunette exclaimed, making me blush a little.
"Now she's embarrassed! Aw!" The dirty blond giggled.
"Don't worry, we're not lesbians. We're just special people."
"I see that," I giggled, touching my lips with my knuckles.
"I'm Candice. Please call me Candy." The dirty blond smiled.
"And I'm Danielle. But please call me Dani." The brunette smiled as well.
"I'm Riley. I don't really have a nickname for my name." I said, shyly. I looked to Seth who's eyes studied mine. I blushed and looked back to Dani and Candy.
"Are you checking out Seth?" Candy asked me in a low voice.
"N-No, of course not!" I exclaimed in a low tone.
"Good. His sister is a total slut. I heard he has a girl in his bed every other night, too." Dani explained. I pursed my lips. I could really care less about Seth, but I didn't think guys like that exist. I only saw them in movies.
"Is his sister in our grade?" I asked them, getting the information I need to stay away from these people.
"Yeah. Her name is Jeanne Barkley." Dani grinned.
"I think I'll stay away from her." I told them, looking around the room for anyone else who seemed sluttish.
"That's a good thing. She's probably be jealous of you." Candy giggled. My eyes flicked to hers.
"Jealous? Of what? I'm still a virgin." I frowned. They laughed a little.
"No no. I meant because of how pretty you are." Candy explained.
"W- You two are way pretty than me."
"N-"
"No, let her keep going." Dani grinned.
"She has an ego." Candy laughed. Dani glared at her.
"It's not everyday a new student compliments you!" She argued. I giggled. These two girls were very friendly.
Chapter 4. Crow.
As soon as I laid eyes on her, I was too shocked to do anything but walk away. She was actually here. Her scent was like a drug to me. I saw her look my way and it took my breath away. When she blushed, she was cute.
No way. I didn't even talk to the girl. No way I'll fall for her. She's a stupid human. A delicate flower unprotected from everything. I could easily take advantage of the beautiful new girl. Then I overheard them talking about me.
"Are you checking out Seth?" Candy asked her in a low voice.
"N-No, of course not!" She exclaimed in a low tone.
"Good. His sister is a total slut. I heard he has a girl in his bed every other night, too." Dani told her. Riley just looked at her like she didn't believe it. She was thinking about something. God, I wanted to know what she was thinking.
Thoughs idiot girls. They were telling her total bull. Although, it was true. I slept with almost every girl in my grade. It was a way to get blood when I needed. Blood and pleasure. I looked away from them and expected the worst for what she thought of me.
"Dude," I heard Tommy say forcefully, "are you thinkin' about doin' that?" He asked me, gesturing to Riley. I wanted to kill him right then and there. She wasn't a 'that'. She's a living person.
Why was I being so over protective of this girl I didn't even know? Sure, she was beautiful. It's just thoughs eyes. Thoughs sad and beautiful eyes.
"No way, man," I grinned, trying to keep myself from strangling him.
"Then I think I'm gonna go for it. She's smokin'" He smirked.
I looked back over to Riley and heard her say, "Jealous? Of what? I'm still a virgin."
She's still a virgin? A beauty like that? No way. Something wasn't right.
I narrowed my eyes.
She's keeping secrets...
The bell rang. Tommy and I got out of there before anyone else so we had time to stand by our lockers and talk about 'things'.
When I got to my first class, guess who was sitting next to the seat I sat in. Riley. She was diffidently clueless and had no idea who anyone was. Everyone was too much of a coward to walk up to her anyway.
With a sigh, I decided to do the nice thing. I sat next to her.
At first, she completely ignored me. She seemed to have believed what Candy and Dani said.
"Hey," I said to her. She looked at me in the corner of her eyes to see if I was talking to her. She realized I was and turned her head to me.
"Hey," She responded, shyly.
"I hear you were home schooled."
"You did, huh? Well, yeah, I was." She
