A Witches Dilemma
Prologue
The night sky burned, fire lighting the towns peoples way down towards the narrow black river, the thick black trees biting their croaked arms against any cloth gaining the witches time as the town slowly stepped across the water.
"We must hurry sisters! They towns people are aproaching fast!" Winne yelled, her dress sweeping across the floor as she rushed towards the black leather bound book.
Sarah danced around on the spot, her long blond hair flowing over her exposed pale shoulders as she swung the dead arm around and Mary muttering to herself, filled their bags with a flick of a wand and a blink of an eye.
"Oh sweet book, how much one shall miss thee, but times are near and witches must flee. Badness is called upon our name and we must run to the sun." Winne ran her long white nails over the binding of the old book. Her mother had passed it down to her and now she was forced to leave it behind.
"Winne, I believe we should leave now." Mary taped her chubby fingers down on Winne's shoulder and tucked a strand of curly ginger hair back behind her ear before her sister sniffed and turned towards the back door.
"Let us go sisters! Let this town burn!" Winne turned to look out the small open window.
The flames were lighting the forest and her dark green eyes narrowed.
How foolish one can be to not see the power of a witch.
They had helped this town so much and this is how they are repayed . . .with death knocking on their dootstep!
How idiotic can a twon be to not see the hope and love these three witches had placed in such a land. Their powers were never used for dark but to help the land and now, they were known as devil leaders!
"They will suffer, out kind will not rest." Winne whispered before throwing her dress behind her and grabbing Sarah's pale hand pulling her along.
"What the rush sister?" Sarah asked trying to catch her footing as they ran down the path, the voices of anger filling the cold air behind them.
"We must hurry!" Mary whispered, fear showing as her lips trembled and her hands shook. The bag light from the charm but her teeth chattering against one another.
"What are they screaming?" Sarah had caught sight of a young man, her heart raced and she yerned to wrap her legs around him.
"Sh! Do you wish to die?!" Winne stopped runing, her hand clasping around Sarah's mouth as her brown eyes widdened and she shook her head. "Then be quiet!"
The sister continued to rush down the forest, their feet close to feeling nothing before they all held hands in a line, their eyes closing as they chanted under their breath,
"Sisters of the moon, sisters of the night, sisters of the craft we call to you as thin as flight." And slowly their feet rose from the ground, the air blowing against them as they flew off into the distance, a tear shed for their lost home.
"The witches are gone!"
"Imposiable! They couldn't have-"
"Father they are gone."
"But how? We would have seen!"
"Not through the back door father." Samual Parris sighed looking to the ground of the old cottage home. "What shall we do?"
"We find the remaining witches, and we burn the, until their sins are payed in death."
