Chapter 2
The big night
A few weeks later. . .
“Mom c’mon I’m going to be late if we don’t get there soon” I said in kind of an irritated voice.
“Okay, okay Anabeth go ahead and put your bag in the carriage. I’ll be right there let me just get my coat.” My mom said knowing I was all worked up about tonight. But the one thing that she ‘supposedly’ forgot to tell me is that lord and lady phantomhive with their son, ciel. But once I got to the playhouse I was awaited by ciel with a rose at the peak of its beauty. His parents were too busy with my parents. Although Elizabeth was acting a little weirder than normal. And by weird I mean like she is a little . . . sad, and she’s like never sad so I was worried and sent ciel to talk to her while I go get into my tutu. Only about 20 minutes ‘til the curtains open. I was talking to some of my friends from rehearsals we were almost all about to through up (we were just really nervous). Then about 10 minutes till curtain one of the other dancers noticed the rose that ciel gave m for good luck she came over to me and just flat out asked “so who’s the lucky boy that got you by his side little lady” she said while giggling and with a smirk on her face as if she already knew. We both kind of poked our heads out and I pointed to ciel, and said “we’re not together he gave this to me for good luck, but all that did was put my stomach in a knot.” I said with a sick voice. And of course knowing Julie (that’s the girl who noticed the rose) she just had to say it. “But I bet he likes you.” She said with her smirk growing wider the more I tried to deny it. “No! That’s so not it at all.” I said in a kind of worried state. “5 MINUTES TIL SHOW TIME!!!!” The stage manager called. Then Julie looked at me in sort of a devious way. This kind of worried me. “So then maybe you like him. Oh my god you do don’t you? Don’t you?” Julie kept at it. But just as I was about to answer her all of the dancer hear, “OK, OK LETS GO MY LITTLE ARTISTS!!!!!!!” our instructor said with a little too much enthusiasm but before I went on I asked. “Sir why are you extra, you know happy for this performance?” and his smile was almost as big as his face now. “Because, for the first time lord and lady phantomhive is here!!” He nearly died just thinking about it. “Oh please don’t forget their son.” I said wishing I hadn’t. “What do you mean. . .” he said little slower. “? Oh well looks like I’m on, maybe we can finish this at intermission.” I said with a sigh of relief. As the curtains shot up all the dancers gracefully leaped out in a way that would bring any lover of the arts to tears, (or says my instructor.) I stay calm and elegant throughout the first couple of scenes but as half way through the show of course during the break all you hear is the bai count Druitt in the audience. Does he have to do that at every one of our performances’ swear it’s like I’m the only girl in the performers who absolutely can’t stand him. But then before the rest of the show came too I saw ciel and that kind of made me little more nervous. But I couldn’t let him make me nervous even if all I could think of now was that smile of his that lit a room no matter how dark. Or his blue eyes that would have so many things to say but yet his words are silent like the wave of the ocean has so much to say yet, the human ear hears none. “What the hell am I saying?” I said out-loud not meaning to. “Yeah, what the hell are you saying because I didn’t hear you say anything, yet at least” Julie said with a small laugh. Then her eyes got wide and a devilish smirk peered on her face. “Were you just thinking of ciel Amy huh huh were ya were ya?!?!?” she said with her eyes getting wider as the thought swam around in her head. “Aaaaaaahhhhh you weren’t you oh my gosh Amy I knew it I totally knew it you do like him.” She squealed quietly enough for just the two of us could hear. “Shush up Julie before the next thing you think about will be your last words to say, got it” I said with my finger pointing to her. She has this ok, ok sort of look in her eyes with her hands up playing around. “Fine but you know you have to tell him soon right.” She said with a smile the size of London itself. “Oh yeah and why is that?” I asked in a smart ass tone. “Because I can’t keep stuff like this away from a boy for very long and you know it.” She said looking more serious now. “Believe me I know” I said. (Long back story don’t ask.) Now Julie was in shock because I brought that story up again.
As the certain came up one more time I luckily avoided having to talk or finish my conversation with my instructor. But afterwards soon enough he found me he had red eyes and a devilish smirk that even I couldn’t saw no to. (Question for the readers- can you guess who the instructor is based on the description I just gave??)
