it to me. Some boys had run her out of the foster home she was living in, they had been teasing her, pulling her hair, tripping her, tearing the head of her doll, the only toy she owned. I recognized her immediately, though i wasn't sure who she was; she doesn't really look much like me. she ran and hugged me like there was no tomorrow, calling me 'sissy, sissy' the whole time. I couldn't remember her much then, but every now and again I will get flashes of her and I playing together, brief images of my parents and older brother. I just wish I knew why..why they..."
