and... and...oh, let’s just dance.” I laughed and grabbed Hosty’s slim wrists. I got a jolt of energy and giggled. “This is great!” Hosty rolled her eyes at me and started swinging her hips with the music. A tasty looking man started grinding with her and she smiled at me and danced with him. I laughed and started dancing and soon enough, a tan guy came up and put his hand around my hips from behind and I started dancing in step with him. My body was vibrating with energy. It was like I was on top of the world. I should go to clubs more often, I thought. I turned around to look at my partner and smiled. My skin tingled with energy every time our skin touched. I smiled, he was tan with a bright, white smile and a beautiful brown eyes. Just like Ango’s. He had a great body and a good dancer. He smiled back at me and I leaned forward and we kissed. I leaned more into him and the kiss got more intense. He kisses better than Ango though.
After about ten minutes we broke the kiss and I asked, “Yours or mine?”
“Well you get to the point fast.” he flirted, “I like that in a woman.”
“Well if we leave now you can get to know me better.” I flirted back. “What’s your name hon?”
“Mortuus. What is yours sweetness?”
I smiled, he was cheesy “Aeval. As I was asking, yours or mine Mortuus?”
Mortuus laughed and said, “My place, you gonna leave your friend here?”
I looked over to Hosty and saw her making out with the guy she was originally dancing with. “No, I think she’ll be just fine. Let’s go.” We walked out of the club and went to his car and then to his apartment to do things unspeakable. If I’d have known what would of happened, I wouldn’t have even stepped into the club that night.

Hosty woke up to the sharp ringing of her cell phone. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked at her clock. Holy shit! It was two in the afternoon! She must have arrived home really late last night. Hostia decided not to have sex with the man she met last night, though Aeval did. They exchanged a few kisses and then their numbers, but that was about it. The phone rang again and she flipped it open. “Hello?”
“Hosty! You picked up your phone! You need to get here quick! I did something really bad. Really, really bad.” stressed Aeval.
“Aeval! Calm down. Hon, what happened and where are you?” asked Hosty in a rushed tone.
“I didn’t mean to. I don’t even know how I did it. I woke up and... and... Hosty come here. Please Hosty! I’m scared.” sobbed Aeval.
“Just tell me where you are!” demanded Hosty. Aeval gave her the address to the apartment she was in and Hosty ran to her car.

Shit. Shit. Shit. What have I done? I didn’t mean to do it. We just had sex. How in the hell is that deadly? It was great. No hunger, just the feeling of someone loving me again. And just like that, the present whooshed back and slapped me in the face and more salty tears ran down my face. I remember waking up in his arms this morning, I was so happy, not because I liked the guy, but there was no hunger. None. It was amazing. I had turned to face him and say goodbye, but I already missed my chance to do so. He just laid there, eyes open and mouth slightly ajar. I remember shaking him and asking, more like screaming, for him to wake up. He didn’t budge. I vaguely remember running into the kitchen and calling Hosty and giving her directions to the small apartment. I could’t bring myself to tell her over the phone. I had crumpled on the floor after that. I couldn’t believe it, I killed a person. I bursted into tears again right as Hosty ran through the door.
“Aeval! What the hell happened? Oh hun, are you okay?” Hosty rushed over to me and tried to touch me. I lost it.
“Don’t touch me! I don’t want to harm you I’m sorry.” I cried, “I’m so, so sorry. I didn’t mean to do it. It... it just, I killed him Hosty. I killed him. Warm, salty tears ran down my face as Hostia looked at my face in horror.
“How?” she asked. Not, how could you, or get out of my face. Just how.
My chin trembled, “I don’t know. I slept with him and then when I woke up I looked at him and he was just... just there. Dead.”
“How do you know it was you that killed him? he could have been dieing before you met him. It just doesn’t make any sense.” Hosty said as she shook her head. “Is there any blood? Where is the body?”
I stood up slowly and walked to the dreaded bedroom. I opened the door and the smell hit the both of us. I flinched and shut the door. “I just woke up and he was like that. He said he was really tired after we... you know, and he passed out. I just... what do I do? I know I killed him. I’m not crazy.” I babbled, “I’m not hungry anymore.” I smiled, “No hunger!”
“What the hell are you talking about? Never mind. Lets call the police and don’t say you killed him.” After Hosty called, we came up with the story and when the day was over we went over to her apartment.
“Okay, why do you think you killed him?” asked Hostia in a confused tone.
“I don’t know, I just have the feeling that I did something bad.” I cried, “I don’t know why. I didn’t do anything wrong.” I smiled and wiped my tears away. “I don’t feel hungry anymore. That’s a plus!”
“Wait, your not hungry anymore? When did your hunger start Aeval?”
“About a week after Ango and I broke up, but I don’t see the big deal Hosty. What are rambling on about?” I questioned.
“ Okay, remember the morning of the finals?.” I nodded. “You put your head in my lap and I passed out.”
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“Were you having sex with Ango a lot?”
“What the hell, Hostia! Why the hell are you bringing Ango up?” My face was scrunched up in disbelief. “What is your point?”
“Well, was he tired after your... you know,” Hosty smiled as her face turned red, “Maybe you are just a bad ass when it comes to sex. I don’t know!” She tossed her hands in the air. “Never mind, just don’t touch a lot of people.”
I blew my hair out of my face, “You don’t make any sense. I’ll try to not touch anyone. I don’t know why, but I’ll try.”
Hosty smiled, “Common’ let’s call the police.
******************************************

After dealing with the police, Hosty and I went over to her little apartment. It was small, but surprisingly homey. “Okay,” started Hosty as they sat down on her small, worn out couch. “What do you remember about this morning?”
“I already told you!” I felt tears slide down my face. The police officer had asked her this question many times at the station. “How did he die, Hosty?” I asked.
“The paramedics told me his heart failed because it didn’t have the energy to pump any blood throughout his body. Can I ask a question?” I gave her a small nod, “How could you have killed him? The cops looked at Mortuus’s medical record and he had no record in heart problems. But how?” asked Hosty.
“Okay, remember the morning of our finals?” Hostia nodded her head in agreement. “I was really hungry and tired, so I laid my head in your lap. My theory was that, you fell asleep for no reason and I felt better after it. I remember feeling so hungry and while I was in contact with you, I felt the hunger slowly go away.”
“Were are you going with this Aeval?” Asked Hostia.
“I mean, when I was with Mortuus, I felt the same way, but I didn’t have just a little hunger left, I felt full. For the first time in a long time! I just dismissed it as me having a good time, but I guess I was wrong. I guess I made the mistake of keeping in contact with him while we were asleep and he ended up having the energy sucked right out of him. If I fell asleep in your lap, I probably would have killed you, Hosty. Killed you.” By this time, my face was drenched with my tears.
Hosty was quiet for a while, as she processed my theory. “I see were you are going with this. It sounds absurd that you have this...this hunger, but I believe you.” I smiled in relief. “But you can’t go around killing people by poking them. You have to control your new hunger. I’ll try to help you as much as I can, but this is mostly you. Do you think you are up to it?” asked Hosty.
“Of course I am, I don’t wan’t to kill anymore people!” I said.
Hosty laughed, “Ok, let’s do this.”
************************************
A few weeks had passed since my accident. Hosty had been helping me with my hunger by making me feed off of her. The first week we had a huge fight about me feeding on her and how I could possibly kill her, but she is stubborn and talked me into it. I make sure she has enough energy before practice, but after every time I feed, she still is a little drowsy.
Today is my little graduation between the both of us. I’ve been able to hug people without feeding on them or anything like that. Basic touching skills, I call it. For my graduation, I am going to a club, the same one where this all started. It is going to be hard going back, but I think I can do it.
“Earth to Aeval! Earth to Aeval!” said Hostia with a smile on her face as she waved her hand in front of me. “You okay? You are spacing again. Are you nervous about tonight?”
“A little, I don’t know why, but I just don’t want to hurt anyone.”
“You are not having sex tonight, you are not close to that yet, so there will be no reason for you to be worried.” assured Hosty.
I shook my head, “You are right. I am just over thinking. I’m ready for this.” I smiled and squeezed Hostia’s hand, without sucking the life out of her, and stood up.
We had been at Hostia’s apartment just talking and I just didn’t want to go home. My father just got back home and he was fighting with my mother more and more. Mostly about little things, like what we are having for dinner or what we are going to paint the new kitchen cabinets. It has gotten so bad, that I have decided to move out. So, today I am going to look at new apartments, so I can get away from my family. I’m looking for a place close to town because I used to go to clubs and shop a lot. I am going to start doing again.
“Okay hun, gotta go. I have to look for a new home.” I said as I stretched.
Hosty snorted, “Okay find a new home. You sound ecstatic about it.” joked Hostia.
“I shall!” Hosty
