I would like to have known.” Tony said.
“It was amazing to meet him but he should get heading home.” They said.
“No! This is my home. I don’t belong there.” Tony said.
“Tony, you have to understand that you cant stay here. You have real parents who love you and are worried. We would love to meet them though.” His Mother said.
“I don’t want to leave. I belong here.” Tony said. His real parents brought him back to his parents and introduced themselves.

CHAPTER 5

“I am sorry about this but I’m Margret and this is George.” Tonys real parents said.
“Thats fine. We just wanted to know that he was okay. By the way I am Brittany and this is Brett. It is great to finally to meet you.” Tonys parents said. Tony was standing in the corner, afraid that he would get yelled at.
“Tony honey, would you like to tell us what is going on?” Tonys parents said to him.
“No.” Tony replied.
“Tony your mother asked you a question and you should answer it.” His father said.
“Fine. I wanted to meet them. I wanted to know where I fit in because it is not here. I just needed to know.” Tony said slowing fading with his words.
“We are so very sorry about the inconvenience but we knew you were worried and we just wanted to give him to his rightful owner.” His real mother said while rubbing his scales. His parent agreed and they had Tony go to his room while they talked.
“Why did you leave him?” Tonys father asked.
“Our group was leaving and his siblings already hatched and it was 3 days after they did so we assumed that he was a dud.” They said while they grabbed each others hand. Tonys parents didn’t say anything for a while.
“We want you to be apart of his life.” Tonys father said.
“What?” Tonys real parents looked surprised.
“We want him to live with you and we would like to have visitation.” Tonys mother said.
“Why?” His real mother asked.
“He doesn’t like it here. He doesn’t fit in and he would resent us forever if we didn’t let him stay.” Tonys mother said.
“We can’t take him from you.” Tonys real father said. Tonys parents didn’t answer.
“We would love to have him.” His real father finally said.
“Thank you.” Tonys mother said then then called Tony back into the room.
“We are going to let you move in with Margret and George.” Tonys father said.
“What? Really!” Tony said almost jumping out the window.
“Yes.” Margret said and then Tony ran and jumped into his parents hands.
“We love you and don’t think you are getting rid of us because we will visit.” His mother said while setting him on his feet.

CHAPTER 6

Tony fit right in in his new school. Everybody was his height and his same color and everybody was so friendly but Tony couldn’t get one thing off his mind. He kept thinking about Rose. When he got home his mother had fresh green leaves and Dino-rade waiting for him. It made Tony feel good because he always had to make a separate meal because his other family was meat eaters but Rose was still on his mind. He also got his own room unlike at his other house where he shared a room with his little sister. This home was everything Tony wanted but one thing was missing. His family. He missed Rose and her friendliness. He missed his mother and father although he was different compared to them. He miss being with people he knows. Tony realized he was were he belonged. He didn’t need new parents or meals or his own room to fit in. He needed to be loved and he was. Tony then talked to his real mother and father.
“I don’t belong here. I look the same but I don’t feel the same in here.” He said pointing to his heart.
“We know.” His real mother said.
“What?” Tony asked.
“You daze off and you are always are thinking about things and you look homesick darling.” She said. Tony looked down at the red table cloth on the table.
“I’m sorry but I had everything I wanted in my old home but I still want to visit you because I don’t want to forget you and what you did for me.” Tony said.
“What did we do for you?” His real father asked.
“You helped me realize what really mattered. Its not what you have or fitting in, its being with who you love.” He said. They didn’t say anything. They just nodded and took Tony home. When Tony got there he went to his family and told them what he told his other parents and they hugged him. Then he went to the beach to find Rose and apologize. When he found her she was sitting watching the sun go down. I sat beside her and watched with her.
“Why haven’t you been in school?” She asked Tony.
“I have been at my real parents.” Tony said. “You were right.” She waited a while before she replied.
“Part of the reason I came back is because of you. You were so nice to me when no one else was. You stuck up for me when no one else did and I love you like no one else will.” Tony said turning her.
“Wow! I don’t know what to say.” She told Tony.
“Say you love me too.” He told her.
“I can’t.” She said.
“Why not?” He said.
“Because I’m dating Jack.” She said like she was ashamed.
“What?” Tony said. “When did this happen?”
“You left and we became study partners and it became more. I’m so sorry but I couldn’t wait for you Tony.” She said and then Tony stood there for about 30 seconds then ran home. He couldn’t stop crying but he did so his mother wouldn’t see him like that. He didn’t talk to Rose after that. He went to the same school and did the same routine but avoided Rose. He never spoke another word to her. Years and years past. She married Jack. They have two boys and a girl. Tony is still single still doing the same routine. He goes to work. Comes home. Eats. Then goes to bed. Tony never found a mate and he never found his true love because she got away. He asks himself everyday What if or what could have been but he will never know for sure. Imprint
