his gun in an instant, ready to draw as he scanned the interior, saw Riku, eyes closed, hands still bound. He walked over to Riku's gurney. "I know your awake, boy. No sense in hiding it." He had a New York accent. "I know what you are, and what you're capable of doing. But you can't stop a bullet kid. If you try to escape, I have orders to put you down, like the animal you are."

"I'm not an animal." Riku replied in a calm, steady tone. "But I am pretty dangerous." He smiled as he used his telekinesis and reached out and took over the guards arm, drawing the gun and holding it, a bit shaky, under his chin. The man grabbed and tried to pull his gun free, but it was pointless, Riku's telekinetic grip was too strong to break. I have to be careful, I don't want that gun going off right now. "Now, you obviously know more about this power than I do. Mind filling me in?"

"Ugh... all I know is, is that you're people are descendants of the Fallen angels that came to earth before the flood. There children were born with special and dangerous powers. How they survived the flood is a mystery. My people have been fighting your's for millennia. That's all I know." He anwered, he was sweating a lot, looking down Riku noticed the man had also soiled himself. "Well it's more than I knew 2 minutes ago." Riku replied. "Let go of the gun." The Arabian man did so, relaxing his grip as Riku pulled the gun out from under his chin, still training it on him, but in his face now. "The men, driving the van, are they armed?" "Yes. If you try to escape, they will kill you." He said.

"Like you were?" Riku laughed.
"No, I am nothing, a pion. They," he said, nodding towards the front of the van. "Are specially trained in dealing with people that have telekinesis."
"So I'm not the only one?"
"No."

Riku allowed a moment to take this knowledge in. While doing so he had the man take off his gun holster, while Riku freed his hands from the straps. "Get on the gurney." He ordered, now holding the gun, a .45 caliber automatic. "You're joking. " said the Arabian. Riku brought the gun down to waist height, stepping forward, he pressed the gun into the mans groin. "Now." He said, sternly, "or you can live the rest of your life without balls." "Ok. Ok." He said, raising his hands up as walked over, and strapped himself down. "What do you plan on doing? This van doesn't stop until we reach our base." Riku holstered his gun and opened the door in the back of the van, he turned his head away as the setting sun shined into his eyes, hot summer air rushed in from outside. Looking down Riku saw that they were moving to fast to jump. He needed a way to slow it down. That's when it dawned on him. Telekinetic arms weren't the only thing he had at his disposal.

Riku sat down and concentrated. He NEEDED to slow things down. Closing his eyes and focusing inwards, he willed his body to move faster, think faster. And then, when he opened them, the ground that was moving by at 60 mph a minute ago, barely moved an inch in four seconds now. Riku hopped down from the van and closed the doors behind him. Then, took off running in the opposite direction, off the road.

He had only been running for about thirty seconds when he started noticing the chest pains. So he slowed down to try to catch his breath, but that didn't help, the pain simply intensified. So he decided to slow himself down, come out of the state he was in. As soon as everything reverted to real time, the pain in his chest subsided. But his heart was pounding in his ears, like he had taken one too many shots of adrenaline. Maybe that's it, he thought. I'm moving so fast that it strains my heart and causes it to fail after so long. Riku still had his wallet and clothes so he made his way to a store in hopes of finding a phone booth, hoping James had made it out alright and wasn't in the same situation he had just got out of.
