possibilities flooded though Chloe’s mind, they might keep her in the cellar and use her to have babies so Mary wouldn’t have to get bigger, and have to go through the pain of child birth.
“I want to go home” Chloe cried “I just want to see my parents, and baby sister. Please just let me go home.”
Blake and Mary looked at each other, both looking like they were in mix minds about whether or not they should let Chloe go home.
“We can’t let her go though.” Blake finally said “If we do it will be our hearts on stake-literally!”
“You do have a point” Mary said with a frustrated sigh “but what the hell are we supposed to do in the mean time, we can’t just sit here and twiddle our thumbs can we?”
“We could always try to stop her crying for a start” Blake suggested “I don’t think they will be very pleased to know that I have chosen someone that is an emotional wreck.”
Chloe was trying her hardest to guess who he was talking about, but all she knew was that they were probably very domineering, and that they were coming there to meet her for some reason that she had not figured out yet, but from what she could tell she had been “chosen” by Blake. She also figured out that Blake thought that he ad made a mistake of choosing her, and that the people that were soon coming were going to be disheartened by his choice, which for some reason made Chloe a little but angry, how dare he think that he was too good for her!
“we should also get her cleaned up” Chloe heard Mary say “we don’t want anyone to see her looking like she has been dragged out of a ally of something like that, that would surely not go down well.”
Before Chloe had chance to protest, Mary was pulling her into the hallway, and upstairs into what looked like a small bedroom.
Once Chloe was sitting on the bed Mary said “first we need to get you all cleaned up” she pointed to a door in the room, and said “there a bathroom in there so you can have a shower. I’m going to get you some clean clothes to wear for once you have finished.”
Not wanting to spend another minute with the strangers, Chloe rushed into the bathroom, and quickly locked the door after herself.
Unfortunately there was no mirror in the bathroom, so Chloe was unable to tell how much of a mess that she looked right then.
She slowly tugged of her sweaty clothes, and got into the modern looking shower, it was probably one of the only modern things out of everything on the house.
As soon as the warm water touched her body, Chloe felt more relaxed then ever.
Being alone allowed her to be able to think more clearly and that helped her be able to try to think of a plan to get out of the house. She couldn’t just leave the house and hope that they wouldn’t catch, maybe if there was only one of them, but not when there was two people around.
Chloe jumped when she heard a banging noise coming from the door.
“Are you ready yet?” she heard Mary call her.
“Not yet” she shouted back, quickly shampooing her hair.
Once she was ready to go, Chloe used the town she found in the bathroom to cover her self up as she went into the bedroom.
Mary was waiting for her in the bedroom, with a dress in her hand.
“Who is that for?” Chloe asked, hoping it wasn’t for her.
“It’s for you” Mary said cheerfully, making Chloe even grumpier than she was before.
“You want me to wear that?” Chloe asked in total shock.
Mary nodded and told her “I will give you time to put it on, I will be in the hall if you need me.”
With that, Mary quickly left leaving Chloe and the dress alone.
Chloe put on her underwear from the night before been as that was the only thing that Mary hadn’t gotten for her, and carefully put on the dress.
It was a knee sized dress, with shoulder length sleeves, and a thin peach coloured material that Chloe hated straight away.
Chloe quickly brushed her teeth and hair with the supplies that Mary had left her on the bed, and Called Mary back in.
When she saw Chloe, Mary gave her a bright smile.
“You put it on” Mary beamed “at one point I thought you were just going to tear it to into tiny little pieces.”
Chloe wished that she had actually thought of that, it would have been a much better option then wearing the dress.
“What’s going to happen now?” Chloe whispered gently.
She was trying her hardest not to get angry been as she didn’t know what would happen if she tried to cross her kidnappers, for all she knew they might even kill her for saying one wrong word.
Mary shrugged “we just wait until our special guest arrive.” She said “then we can tell you what is going on.”
Chloe doubted that she would ever know what was going on they way that things were going on, actually if she had it her way she wouldn’t because she would be gone before they even had the chance to tell her.
“If this turns out right” Mary said, taking a seat next to Chloe on the bed “I hope that we could be come great friends.”
“That would be nice” Chloe told her, but she highly doubted that it would happen; she was leaving as soon as she could, and was never coming back!
“I have never really had a real friend before: Mary admitted “just Blake, and he is more like a big brother to me then he is a friend.”
Chloe was trying not to feel sympathetic to Mary, but it was hard not to. She had always had friends around her, and she didn’t know what to do if she had had no one at all to talk to her problems.
Just then Chloe heard voices coming from downstairs, louder than she should, as if they were standing right next to her as the spoke. Some of the voices were male, some were female, but they all held the same high authority that Chloe had ever heard on the television shows that her grandma watched before she had died of breast cancer the year before.
“That will be them” Mary said with a happy smile on her face “it also might mean that there us a chance that you get to go home soon very soon.”
Taking a deep breath, Chloe stood up, and followed Mary out into the lightness hallway.
It was time to meet the people that Chloe had feared, and she couldn’t have been more scared if she was going to have a tea party with her super strict aunty Melanie.
Chapter 3
There we only three people waiting down stairs for them, one of them was Blake.
The first was a little girl who only looked around the age of seven, with sickly pale skin, and amazing blue eyes. She stood tall long the others, as if she had more power than beyond belief. The second person was a boy; he only looked a few years older than Chloe with white-blonde hair, and a long broad body.
When Mary and Chloe walked into the living room where the guests were waiting, they all stopped what they were doing to stare at Chloe.
“Why don’t you take a picture, it lasts longer!” Chloe snapped, and looked down at her bare feet.
“Chloe this is Angelica and Damien, the people that have came a long way to meet you.” Blake said sounding annoyed at Chloe’s comment.
Chloe raised an eyebrow “they couldn’t have come that far, been as you only met me a few hours ago.”
“It’s actually been three days” Mary blurted all of a sudden “you wouldn’t remember though because you have been asleep most of the time.”
Chloe froze into place, not knowing what to make of the information that she had just been told.
Had she really been unconscious for that long and if so why hadn’t her parents been apprehensive enough to get the police to search for her? It’s not as if no one knew of a description of Blake; Judith had seen him before Chloe so she had had a pretty good look at him.
“Have you told her what is to happen yet?” the little girl-Angelica asked.
Blake shook his head and said “she knows absolutely nothing; we thought it was better if we wanted for you two to come.”
The boy called Damien nodded in approval “I think you made the right choice” he told Blake and Mary “from what I can see she is going to be a handful.”
“Can you all stop speaking about me like I am not here” Chloe screamed angrily “I can here you, and your not being very polite.”
“Calm down Chloe” Mary hissed into her ears “you do not want to get onto the wrong side of these people, believe me!”
Not wanting to hurt Mary’s feeling, Chloe shut herself up, and just listened to what the people were saying about her.
“It’s been a very long trip” Angelica said, sitting herself down on the sofa “and I am very tired indeed, so lets just get on with it shall we?”
Before she knew what was happening, Chloe was being dragged across the room, and placed on an old wooden chair.
“My parents haven’t got a lot of money if that is what you are after” Chloe whimpered “and I don’t own anything valuables that you might want.”
“Don’t be silly” Angelica laughed “we could have any jewels or gems we want, whenever we want.”
Chloe doubted it, but she decided to keep quite anyway been as they might be actually about to tell her why they were going to keep her there.
“We aren’t what you think we are” Blake said, taking a seat next to Chloe “we are much, much worse than that, we are the things that your every nightmare is made of.”
Chloe thought that he was just talking crazy been as the only type of nightmare she had was dying and not being able to go into the after world where her family and friends would be waiting for her, and she really didn’t think that was going to happen any time soon.
Chloe just gave him a doubtful look, and asked the others “is anybody going to give me a straight answer, or am I just supposed to believe your little fairytales?”
“He’s telling the truth Chloe” Mary said, taking her hand “we aren’t just making it all up, I swear on my parents’ graves!”
“Do you honestly expect me to believe you?” Chloe asked them in utter disbelief “first you kidnap me, and now you want me to believe all your nonsense, it not going to happen!”
“What can we do to make you believe us?” Blake asked her.
“I need proof” she told them “I will believe you of you give me some proof that you are remotely telling me the truth.”
The room stood still for a moment, everyone silently debating on what should happen next.
“It would be easier of we did just show her” Blake said, feeling in the silence.
“It’s not going to be me” Mary said, when she saw that Blake was looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
“Well it’s not going to be me either; I’m the one who had to bring her here, so it’s one of your turns to do the dirty business for a change!”
“I will do it” Damien interrupted them “been as you
