matter what you do
Your parents will always be there for you

Follow the Leader

Shining like a fire
bright light drifting higher
Fighting to join the stars
reaching high reaching far

Flickering in the storm
rain distinguishing its warmth
sizzling black clouds
enveloping the sky like a shroud

Like a snowflake on the ground
mingling with the fallen around
no snowflake is the same
in any pattern,way or name

Listen to the voice of the wind
Follow it whence it calls
make for yourself your own name
and care not about the praise or fame

Hear the whispers of the brook
to where you walk look
stay away from the sharp rocks
cause there will be those that mock

Let the brush of nature take you over
and embrace it like a lover

Deep Under the Surface

I searched for those long forgotten
Slipping under
Hiding beneath its blue cloak
A face veiled with white foam
Little ripples break the mirrors illusion
Light Crystals shimmer around me
Brown vines trapping me
Each trapping beneath surface
Letting go glassy bubbles
Inch by inch grasping treasures
Each jump springs off the spongy floor
Vibrant light leaking from the ceiling
Eating air to live and survive
You feel the withered skin under your nails
Open a vast wilderness beneath a window
Underneath to be discovered and known

My Own Life

In a breathe I will be free
your chains
will no longer contain me
My actions are my own
your words
cannot push me down
I can speak or sing
of love
instead of screaming
from pain
you inflict me with sorrow
pin me down
but I will fight for tomorrow
I reach for the light
the light that you hide from my eyes
And I will bath in that warmth
And ignore my previous hurt
The conflicts within my mind
keep me blind
they feast upon my insecurities
and take away my felling of security

But no one can take away my freedom

Wishes

To fly high
To touch the sky
To dance upon a rainbow
To find that pot
Of silver or gold
To wish upon a star
As is begins to fall

To catch the rain in my hand
And never let it slip away again
To soar into the air
the wind blowing through my hair

To live free
Like a fish in the sea
swimming past the currents
And slipping into the reefs

This is how I wish life would be
