shit girl,” Simi said looking me up and down again. “Thanks girl, I’m not used to wearing dresses like this, so this is something new to me. I’m normally not the girl that gets attention at all so the two of you guys giving me this attention feels kinda weird,” I said to both Calvin and Simi. “Girl shut up and go try the other three dresses on! I need more options cause right now in this dress you’re making me question my sexuality and that never happens!” Calvin said laughing and shooing me into the dressing room again. The next dress was all black and it was a little shorter than the red one and it was covered in lace from top to bottom. I took the red and black dress off and folded it and put it to the side. I took the black lace dress off the hanger and unzipped it and slid it on. When I zipped it up, I turned and face the mirror. This dress was stunning. It wasn’t too much, it had a deep plunge that went a little past my sports bra, it had a little slit in the back, and it had the prettiest sleeves on it. I was in awe of this dress. It was gorgeous, I loved it more that the black and red one. It was formfitting but in all the right places. “Kacey are you ready to come out?” Simi asked. “Yeah, you guys ready for this one?” I asked, hoping they would love it as much as I did. “Yep we are very ready,” Simi and Calvin said in unison. I took a deep breath and opened the curtains and stepped out. They both looked at each other and then back at me with a wide smile on their faces. “Kacey, this dress looks stunning on you!” Simi said. “Well Calvin, what do you think?” I asked really hoping he would like it. “Kacey this dress looks absolutely beautiful on you. I didn’t think I would like it as much as I do, but my god this dress looks stunning on you,” Calvin said with a gleam in his prefect emerald green eyes. “Okay, so I have two more to try on hopefully we can find one,” I said looking at both Calvin and Simi. “If anything we are going to have to buy them all if they keep looking this good on you,” Calvin said. “I would have to agree with Calvin. If you keep looking this good in these dress we are gonna have to buy them all and just change you out of them every couple of hours at the party,” Simi said. “You’re going to the party? Do you go to UCLA?” I asked Simi. “I sure do. It’s a pretty decent school,” Simi said looking me right in the eyes without breaking eye contact. Her eyes were so pretty, they were a light blue with gold flecks in them. Simi was really pretty, like model pretty. She had wavy strawberry blonde hair, and stood about 5’9 compared to my 5’5, she was like the prefect everything. She was wearing high waisted shorts, with a blue mid-drift that had a cat on it, and high top black and white chucks, she had a fringed brown cross body purse and sunglasses on the top of her head. She looked like the girls you see going to Coachella. She wore little makeup and had flawless skin. Then you have Calvin who is literally like a Calvin Klein model. He has such pretty thick and full hair, his eyes are to die for, and he has such a good jawline. He towers both Simi and I coming in at 6’4 and has a really toned body. I didn’t realize how beautiful he really was until now. “Ummm, Earth to Kacey,” Calvin said waving his hand in front of my face. “Are you okay girl? You just kinda zoned out on us. Are you gonna try on the last two dresses or what? We can’t wait to see how perfect you look in them,” Calvin said smiling at me. “Yeah, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to zone out on you guys. Okay give me a sec and I will show you the next two dresses,” I said turning back and walking to the fitting room. I unzipped the black lace dress and folded it and put on it on top of the black and red one. The next one was a red and white ombre dress. This one was the shortest of the three and it was a halter top dress. No straps to hold the girls in, I like it though. It went from white all the way into a deep red. It looked really cute on. “Okay, guys are you ready?” I asked Calvin and Simi. “Uh, duh, come out to us gorgeous,” Calvin yelled. I pulled back the curtain and walked out. They looked me up and down and gave it thumbs down just like me. It was cute just not cute enough. “Yuck, take that off and show us the last one,” Calvin said mushing his face in like he smelled something really bad. “Okay,” I said laughing and I turned and went back to the fitting room to take this dress off. The next dress was about the same length as the white and red one. It was just a simple black dress with cut outs in the stomach area. I walked out, and they looked me up and down and started grinning. “Honey this dress is all you!” Simi said clapping at the dress. “Girl you are going to be a hit at this party tonight,” Calvin said standing up and getting the other dresses that I liked and brought them to the register. “Umm, Calvin what the hell are you doing? I’m not buying all these dresses,” I said looking at him all crazy. “Yes you are Kacey. With all the bullshit you’ve been through you deserve these dresses, plus they’re all on sale. So it’s a win, win situation for all of us,” Calvin said. “Now take that dress off and bring it up to me with your card,” Calvin said. “Ugh fine! Give me a sec,” I said stomping back into the fitting room. I wasn’t going to admit it to but I was happy that Calvin was making me buy all these dresses. I finished getting dressed and brought the other dress with me. “Here you go sir,” I said the cashier. “You looked great in those dresses Kacey,” The cashier said. “Umm thank you? How’d you know my name?” I asked getting nervous. “Your friends kept saying it every time you walked out of the fitting room; I’m Ty by the way. I heard you go to UCLA? I do too, I’m a sophomore there. I’m going to the same party; maybe we will see each other?” Ty said smiling at me. “That’s awesome, Ty. Do you like it here? And what’re you going for? Sorry I get weary of new people. Of course I’ll see you tonight,” I said feeling my cheeks getting warm. “I’m going for Business Management. How about you Kacey,” Ty asked. I loved the way he said my name. It made me excited and now I know I have to look my best for this party because Ty was very good looking, he had olive colored skin, with nice black hair, and a set of prefect grey eyes. He had full lips, and he was built. It looked like he played sports most of his life. He was around the same height as Calvin if not a little taller. It felt too long to not say something so I had to think quickly. “I’m going to school for music, I sing, play the piano, acoustic guitar, and the cello. Maybe I’ll sing a song for you one day,” I said smiling and grabbing my bag. “I would like that a lot Kacey and I look forward to seeing you tonight,” Ty yelled as I was walking away. I started walking towards Calvin and Simi who were in awe of how I just handled that. As we were leaving the store I stopped, and didn’t even look over my shoulder and said “Ty, it’s not polite to stare.”
Chapter Five
As we walked to my car Calvin and Simi were laughing and clapping their hands at me for talking to Ty. “Girl! Ty was so trying to get into that! I can’t believe you stopped like that at the door and said that! He was blushing and grinning so bad when you did that,” Calvin said hugging me and smiling from ear to ear. “Kacey, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone with that much confidence with a random hot guy like that! We thought we lost you for a second but you came back in full force!” Simi said excitedly. “Guys if I see a guy who looks that damn good, I have to say something flirty. I mean it would just be rude to ignore such a sexy guy like that!” I said popping my trunk and putting my bag in there. I closed it and Calvin and Simi were just staring at me. “What? Did I mess up in there? Did I read him wrong? He wasn’t interested at all,” I said starting to panic. They both started laughing and told me I was completely wrong and that he was into me. “Girl now we have to do something with that hair and get your make up on point. I was thinking a Smokey eye, with a plum lip, with that sexy little black dress that had the cut out on the stomach,” Calvin said. “I can do your hair and make it look really cute! Have you ever straightened it before?” Simi asked. “Calvin I love the makeup look! And to answer your question Simi yes I have straightened my hair. It just takes way too long to do, so I never mess with it and just leave it curly and in a bun,” I said to both Calvin and Simi. “Okay so the party starts at like eleven, we have five hours to pull this off,” Calvin said to Simi and me. “What are you going to wear Calvin?” I asked. “Girl the question is what am I not going to wear,” Calvin said laughing and getting in the car. “Okay, I didn’t not need that picture in my head at all Calvin,” I said laughing. When I looked at Simi she was starting to walk away and go to the bus station. I looked at Calvin who shrugged his shoulders like he didn’t know what was going on. I told Calvin to give me a sec and I ran to Simi who was a very quick walker. “Hey girl,” I said in and out of breaths. “Don’t you want to ride back to campus with Calvin and I?” I asked her. “I didn’t want to intrude on the bonding you guys had going on back there. But yeah that’d be really nice if I could hitch a ride back to campus with you guys.” She said. As we were walking back to my car, a group of guys were walking past us; they were all looking and trying to grab Simi’s attention. “Hey girl, how you doing?” one of the guys said. “I’m doing real good babe, how you doing?” Simi said flirting back with the guy. Then another guy started talking, “Hey sexy, how about you and me go in the alley real quick for some real fun.” “In your dreams Casanova,” Simi said winking at that guy. “How about this boys, there’s a party at a frat house tonight at UCLA swing by and we might just have some real fun,” Simi said pushing her hair up into a messy bun. “Daaaamn girl we will
