I answer.

"Can you sing me something?" he asks.

"Maybe some other time. We should probably be going on our date now." I say.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot." Shane says.

I grab Shane by the hand and I run down the stairs with him. At the bottom of the stairs I grab my boots and put them on. We walk out the door.

"So, where are we going?" I ask.

"The park just around the corner. We can walk there." Shane replies.

"Oh cool." I say.

Shane and I walk hand in hand down the street until we get to the park. I look over at the playground and I see a little girl on the swings being pushed by her daddy. I guess that's kind of how I feel. I have not only one, but two guys who really care about me. Even though I have only known these guys for two days, I'm already falling head-over-heels in love with them. That's the worst part, though. Falling in love with both of them will just lead to heartbreak in the end.
Shane directs me toward the fields. He takes me to the very center of the fields where I could see everything around me. I could see where the woods are and the playground. I could see the pond and the little ducks that waddled by.

"Get on my back." Shane said.

I climbed up onto his back and he started to run around. I felt like a little kid. He was running so fast that it felt like I was flying. Everything was a blur. I closed my eyes and I listened to the rustling noises of Shane's feet moving through the grass. Then, he stopped.

"Here we are." he said.

We were in the middle of the woods now. Shane took my hand and brought me to a big tree. It was the biggest tree I've ever seen. It's branches were so high, it looked like they touched the sky. Shane pulled a little knife out of his pocket. He put it in my hand and he helped me carve our initials into the tree. "A + S". He wrapped one arm around my waist and he helped me carve with his other hand.
Shane took back the knife and put it in his pocket. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me intensely. Every time I kiss Shane and Kenneth, I go into my own dream world. Shane's lips feel warm and comforting. The heat of his body helped mask the icy chill of the wind. This is what love feels like. It's paradise. It's like my whole world has fallen into the hands of God. He is controlling my heart, my mind, my soul. I feel like I am high above the earth and no one can bring me down.
Shane pulls away and he just holds me for a while. He protects me from the wind. I don't want this night to end. It gets darker.

"It's getting pretty dark. We don't want to get lost in the woods." Shane says. "C'mon. Let's go back to your house."

Shane takes my hand and walks me back home. He can tell that I'm tired. He carries me up the stairs and lays me on my bed. I feel so sleepy. He kisses my forehead. He's gone.
Dreams

I am dreaming. I walk down a long glass corridor. Shane and Kenneth are standing at the end. I keep walking towards them, but they keep getting further and further away. I start running. Why can't I reach them? I want them! I need them!
I call out to them and they appear right in front of me. Kenneth strokes my hair and kisses me. I start spinning in a whirlpool of color. Reds and purples and blues circle around me. Kenneth and I are falling into an endless pit of colors. Greens and oranges fly by. Yellows swirl around us. Hearts float above us. Where is Shane? Has he been left behind?
Kenneth holds me tight. He won't let go. Our lips press so hard together that I can barely breathe. Is this good? Is this bad? What does this mean? Could Kenneth be the one? What if he isn't? Is it Shane. Everything becomes so confusing. All of the colors fade to black and we finally land at the bottom of this pit. I thought it would last forever. We land on a big bed.
Kenneth lays down and I put my head on his chest. He kisses the top of my head. He brushes the hair out of my face. Kenneth wraps one arm around me and I notice a tattoo. A tattoo of a rose. A big red rose. How have I not noticed this tattoo before? I sit up on the bed and I stare at him. I notice more tattoos. On his neck, his arms. I pull his shirt off. Another tattoo is on his beautifully sculpted torso. Kenneth holds me close.

"I love you." he says.

"I love you, too." I reply.

Is this it? Could Kenneth be the one? I have to choose. I love Kenneth. What do I do? All of a sudden, I wake up from my dream. I think about what it means. Kenneth must be the one. I need to tell him.

He's The One

It's Saturday, Kenneth comes and meets me at my house. We sit on my bed in my room.

"What did you want to talk about?" he asks.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you, too." he says. "Is that it?"

"No, there's more." I say.

"What is it?" he asks.

"You're my world. You're my everything. I choose you." I say.

Kenneth leans in to kiss me. He pushes me against the wall and continues kissing. I can't move. I can't break free, but I don't want to. I hold his face with my hands. He's so strong. He pulls away.

"It's too hot in here." Kenneth says as he rips off his shirt. I see the tattoos. It's just like my dream.

He leans back in to kiss me. He holds me tight. I'm in my dream world. I see the colors swirling. Kenneth is the one. He pulls away.

"Thank goodness you chose me." he says. "Now I can give you this."

He pulls a small box out of his pocket. He opens it up and I see a little diamond ring inside.

"Marry me." Kenneth says.

"But we are only sixteen." I say.

"Well, accept now and we can get married when we graduate from high school." he replies.

"Okay, yes. I'll marry you." I say.

Kenneth takes the ring out of the box and slides it onto my finger. It's beautiful. It sparkles like the night stars. I grab Kenneth's face, pull him in, and kiss him.

"You're the one." I say.

The Day After The Wedding

Two years later- Kenneth and I just got married yesterday. I'm so happy. I love him so much! Now if you're wondering like "What?! The story is already almost to an end?! What happened to Shane?!" I'll tell you. You need to stop jumping to conclusions. Anyway, Shane proposed to my twin sister, Caterina. Now you are probably thinking "What?! You never mentioned a twin sister before!" Obviously, I haven't mentioned her. That's because this is a story about my life. Not her's. Gee, you guys need to calm down. Ok, so Shane proposed to Caterina and she said Y-E-S!!!
They are so happy together! Shane obviously picked my twin sister because she looks like me (although, I'd have to say I'm the better looking twin). Don't get me wrong. Cat is beautiful, but I'm on fire! I'm just kidding. I actually think she is the prettier twin.
Also, Cat doesn't go to the same school as me. That's why you didn't know about her until now. She transferred to a prep school in London. I had the opportunity as well, but I wanted to stay in my hometown. This is where I belong.
