STEEL WINGS
I lifted my heavy, feathered wings and seized the branch I was sat upon with my curled talons. Then released my grip and pushed upward into the cool air whilst flapping my wings vigorously. As I gained control I began to glide through the crisp breezy air. Then, I started to drop purposely - head first towards the ocean below me...


Like and arrow I tore through the salty air before outstretching my wings seconds before hitting the aqua marine water. My feathers stopping me suddenly before sending me soaring upward towards the clouds. Sunlight shining through cracked clouds with sunbeams bouncing of my feathers. I heard the call of a nearby herd of horses. I knew it was time to guide them across the country to find safety where a new generation of the herd would begin...
