One Christmas Eve sheriff Woody was riding down the street when bullseye reared up and woody dropped his hat. Woody didn’t notice until they were riding off into the desert. Suddenly it dawned on him: “MY HAT” he screamed! He turned Bullseye right around and they rode back to where they were before. “Oh no!” The hat wasn’t there! Woody was beside himself with grief. Just when he thought that all hope was gone he came to his senses and decided to put together a search party. So he went back to his house and called up his good friend Jessie the yodeling cow-girl.“Hey Jessie” he said.”Would you be interested in joining a search party? You see, I lost my hat not 20 minutes ago and I am putting together a posse to search for it.” “Well sure!” said Jessie. “ Great!” said Woody. “See you tomorrow at my place at seven!” Next he called up Rex the toy dinosaur.”Hey buddy!” said Woody.”Would you mind joining a search party to locate my hat? It sure would help your old friend out!” “ Well o.k!” said Rex. “ Anything to help out an old friend!” Great Woody thought! Two people already on board! He knew just the person to ask next! “Well if it isn’t my old comrade sheriff Woody!” said Buzz lightyear. “Hey Buzz! listen,Buzz, I lost my cowboy hat and I just can’t live without it! Could you help me look for it tomorrow? Rex and Jessie are gonna come too!” “Well, I mean if, y’know, if Jessie’s gonna come, Well I might,I mean, I would feel honored to help out an old friend!” said Buzz. Next Woody called up the space aliens from pizza planet.”Hello is this the mighty claw?” asked one alien. “uhh, no this is Sheriff Woody.Do you want to help me look for my hat?” “Anything for my great friend the claw!” replied the alien. “O.k, uhh, see you guys tomorrow!” said Woody. “The great claw wills it!” said the alien. So the next morning the aliens,Buzz,Jessie,Woody,Bullseye,and Rex had gathered at Woody’s house and were all set to start looking for his hat when a loud rumble fell over the house. “Company, Halt!” It was the Bucket ‘o’ Soldiers. “Hey Woody!” saluted the General. “ I thought you might be wondering where this was.” Woody could hardly believe it! Five of the soldiers came out from the ranks and presented Woody’s hat to him. “ Thanks guys! You are all really great friends. I don’t know what I would do without you!” said Woody. “Yep, my boys were out practicing using their parachutes when we stumbled upon it!” said the General. “Besides no one should have to live without their favorite hat on Christmas Eve!” Later that night after dinner they all slept over at Woody’s house and the next day they awoke to stockings overflowing with candy and presents! This, Woody thought was the best Christmas ever!
