Dearest Audrey:

I wish you were here, I miss you terribly, my heart had been left back in London with you.
Here all I hear is mother complain about such little things and she is giving me the cold
shoulder because I am courting you but do not worry for I would not let her ruin my life
with her indiference. I told you that I would make you forget all about my brother James
and I would, one day you would truly love me more than you ever loved him for he was not
worth of such a beautiful and sweet lady as yourself. Nothing matters to me more than you,
ever since we were kids I had been taken by you but I noticed how you preferred to be with
James, dashing, brave and always so in control of everything, I was the youngest one and for
that I was always left alone, sometimes it made me hurt but I learned to manage my emotions
and concentrated more on reading and studying. James was going to bring honor to our family
with all his charm and disposition, I on the other hand was the sensible one, the sweet boy
who nobody saw as capable of anything important.

Audrey, I cannot bare to stay here for too long, I shall give an excuse to go back to London
as soon as possible so I can be in your company, take walks together, have tea, laugh and enjoy
each other's company. All I do here is take walks on my own, read and write in my diary, sometimes I take swims in the lake but not much more. My sisters are always occupied so I do not spend much time with them and James dissapears to ride his horse or keeps most of his time
at our library, we do have parties but I do feel so out of place in all of them, I wish you were
here so you could dance with me all night long for I would never let another gentleman do so. Today is a very clear day so I have to take advantage of that and after sending this letter to you I might take a swim in the lake, the water is always warm and I love to be there alone without hearing mother complain. Your letters always keep me in good moods, I feel like we are close to each other, I pretend to make you happy and vanish all your sadness, is a promise.

I was remembering this morning the first day I sent you violets and how happy they made you or the imported box of chocolates that I send you, anything at all that would brighten your life. You had far too many sad moments when you lost your dearest sister being so ill and your mother
a few years back, life had been hard on you my lovely flower but I want to give all the sweetest
moments you deserve. I would never forgive my brother for breaking your heart, for making you
cry when you did not deserve such tears. I will kiss away all of those tears like I did that
night that you burst into tears in the garden because of some insolence of my brother that you
never revealed to me. I promise you that night that I would win your heart and I shall do just
that with a good love that will healed your broken heart.

I shall see you soon, I do hope you miss me as I miss you my dearest lady.

With you in my heart;

Thomas
