He sat in the back of the room. Often walking in late, it was the only seat that was open for him. She assumed that he did it on purpose; as if being early or on time meant that he would have to sit in the front of the class, which she knew he didnβt likeβ¦ or she figured. Every time he would come to class, heβd slowly pull the door open, slipping in quietly and walking to the back without saying a word. Sara often studied him, watching his every move, observing him until he sat in his spot.
βDo you know him?β the two girls stood on the edge of the sidewalk, watching the quiet boy walk down the front steps of the building and making his way to the parking lot.
βHeβs in my English class. His name is Kendal.β
βDoes he talk?β
βNot really. He walks in late and just sits in the back. Only says something if heβs picked on by Ms. Jets.β
Sara and her friend watched as Kendal got in his car and began driving towards their direction, stopping the car right in front of the two girls.
βSara, right? Want a ride?β
βI know you,β he whispered softly into her ear as he held the sharp blade to her neck, βIβve been watching you.β
Sara whimpered through the cloth that was wrapped around her mouth, soaked with drool and tears. She tried to push away from him but was grabbed by the hair and pulled back. βDONβT!β Kendal yelled; Saras cries became louder. βDonβt cry. I love you.β He ran the blade up to her mouth, cutting it away. βTell me you love me, Sara.β
βGo to hell.β
βIβll be taking you with me,β Kendal smirked, pushing the blade into her throat.
