The castle ruins Wohldenberg I approached as a discoverer. After the cherry harvest at Wohldenberg in July 2012 I took my camera and walked to the ruins. I was fascinated by the Catholic Church of St. Hubertus. It took almost a year, until I got due to a reference from pastor Lampe in the quarry behind the ruins. After this my first Photo Book arose "Die Burgruine Wohldenberg und die Jahreszeiten".
Observations on the footpath to Wohldenberg
On a circuit my hikes designed very exciting to the Wohldenberg and usually lasted one hour. Almost always I had it my binoculars and my digital camera, and in this way I came to a larger photo collection. The recordings until mid July 2013 I recovered in my above Photo Book No. I (i.e. over a period of approximately 12 months).

In my 2013 calendar I have noted that on 24 July my eighth cherry harvest took place on Wohldenberg - and this at a pleasant 18 deg. C and bright sunshine. I parked my Opel Combo Tour as always at the bank opposite the sign "Walk to Wohldenberg". From there I went first to the cherry trees on the farm road on the opposite side of the street. After that, I wandered with my equipment on the footpath to the castle ruins Wohldenberg.

In the wild bushes on the right side of the foot path I discovered numerous butterflies that I have displayed in my Wohldenberg band No. I and my Phot Book "Bunte Schmetterlinge in schΓΆner Landschaft". Entirely new were the blue dragonflies me enthusiastic with their very skillful maneuvering for me. Even in the white umbel flowers cavorted numerous, hard-working visitors.

End of July 2013, I was back to the castle ruins Wohldenberg go. This time I fell again to the imposing Scottish Highland cattle in Hutewald. Their task, namely grazing and removal of low plants, have I described in detail in my Photo Book No. I "Die Burguine Wohldenberg und die Jahrerszeiten". In September, their special task is completed and they are transported out of the Hutewald.

Sunflower in the parish garden
In the rectory garden, I found again a very beautiful sunflower (as in the previous year). To visit the St. Hubertus Church this time I took me a lot of time because it was a very relaxed atmosphere with its soothing meditation music. Surely this also had the victim candle, I have donated a certain influence.

One and a half months (on 17/09/2013) later, I was on the Wohldenberg again and this time discovered a gorgeous flowers and flower paradise in the rectory garden. This was very surprising because I was already passing the parish garden in the past - without noticing this splendor. I am convinced that nature has done in the rectory garden in the six weeks I was gone a step change. About the magnificent butterfly (an admiral), who was traveling in the rectory garden, I was very happy and get me some nice shots.

In early October I was walking on the footpath to the castle ruins Wohldenberg. At the Catholic cemetery, I watched a squirrel a large nut that was still in the green bowl, transported laboriously in their hideout. Since the walnut tree is located in the rear corner, it had already come a long way. On the way back from Wohldenberg the squirrel met me on the road again. This time I had the impression that it is with me, "Catch me sometimes ...!" wanted to play. What I obviously did not succeed.

On the birthday (November 8th) of my dead father, "blurted" I in the St. Hubertus Church in the preparation of the funeral of a well-known personality : the famous entrepreneur Dr. h.c. Johannes Kolbe was 3 November 2013 died at the age of 86 years and should now be buried as a member of the Catholic Church.

The beginning of the funeral I have not seen because I went once to the Catholic cemetery. There I met an older lady who was visiting her husband's grave and Mr. Kolbe was very well known to her during his lifetime. She added information that I already knew. Then Mr. Kolbe founded his company in 1963 at the age of 36 years.
In 1996 he had to insolvency with his company FUBA sign and stuck with his private assets. He lost his larger property below the Wohldenberg and then lived in a rented apartment. He spent the last 6 years in a nursing home. Perhaps this is the reason why after the impressive funeral on 8 November 2013 at his tomb does nothing more. Not even a reference to the dead can be found there.

A business partner who is obviously be gone differently with the bankruptcy and has secured his financial situation, I met on Friday night , 14 April 2000, during my DIA lecture "Coffee, bananas, and the Panama Canal" in the Salze-Klinik in Bad Salzdetfurth. He then had the horse farm in Heersum, which is now managed by his son Christian Aue.
The former FUBA Director Aue and partner of Mr. Kolbe struck me with his critical remarks especially on and I've kept this "crucial experience " in my trip report "Der lange Weg von Honduras nach Chile":
An older audience fell on me, which I then got talking. His judgment was interesting: " 25 percent of their DIAs were bad - but her performance was excellent!" He is a director of a company formerly known Hildesheimer also traveled extensively (often to Hong Kong) and had a population of 100,000 slides - he told me. At the Panama Canal really ruled no good weather for DIA recordings (see photos
