A Windy Situation by Madison Johnson (novel books to read .txt) 📕

It all started the day of April 27, 2012. People were standing outside of their houses wondering if anything was going to happen. “Oh, it’s just a little thunderstorm nothing’s going to happen!” THEY WERE WRONG!!!!!!!
People were running in and out of their houses and getting their cameras to take pictures of the sky. It was just about the time when the newscaster said for the people of Cullman to get to their safe places. No one listened. They just waited outside. They didn’t think that it was going to be the most terrifying time of their lives.
That’s when it happened there were high winds, then the wall cloud, then the it formed!!!!!!! The funnel dropped. It destroyed everything!!!!!!!!!! I was in the court house. Bad decision!!!!!!! Right when I got in there all you see is the lights blink and then you FEEL the worst thing ever, you SEE the worst this ever, you HEAR the worst thing ever!!!!!!! We all jump into the hall by the time everyone gets there the officer comes out and say it’s all over, but you can still hear glass being broken outside of the court house. So we leave the basement, and go out to the parking lot and everything is destroyed!!!!!!
Like I said there was broken glass EVERYWHERE!!!!! So we went to check on our truck and when got over there I was afraid of what I was going to see. I look at the back there it was!!!! No window!!!!! I just knew something was going to happen to it. I didn’t really pay attention to the damage around me it was just my dad’s truck I was more focused on, so I finally took the time to look at all the other vehicles. It turns out that they had more damage than ours. We took our time looking at the wreckage that we could actually see. It was terrible!!!!!! Then we heard the stern voice of a military officer saying that if we didn’t evacuate the buildings for at least four block that they would start putting us in jail so we left in a hurry. We got back home and all we heard all day was the tornado sirens warning us. We waited for the next destroyer to come, but it didn’t.
We were out of power for about two weeks. Most people were struggling because their houses were destroyed. Many went to the churches for help stayed with family and got trailers from Fema, but we will never forget the lives that were lost on April 27, 2012.
