The autopsy report of Whitney Fox reveals that she was murdered, just as Sanjay had predicted. Sanjay is determined to take on this case and find the real culprits and make sure they are held accountable.

Main Characters

Nicole Diaz is a hotshot lawyer who reluctantly agreed to take Aria’s case. Soon she got sucked into the messy case. She had just won Aria’s case after a lot of effort and struggle. She is now, more than ever, determined to bring Ellen’s murders and her abductors down.

Detective Sanjay Ray was the detective investigating Coons’ murder case. He was the only one to believe in Aria’s innocence and played a major part in successfully getting her out of prison. However, he has a strong suspicion that the new murders, including Whitney’s, are connected with Coon’s murder, and he is willing to go to lengths to get to the bottom of this.

Aria Raymond was a financial analyst at a leading financial consulting firm in the country. However, she was charged with the first-degree murder of her boss and served life in prison until Diaz and Sanjay proved her innocence. She is struggling but is determined to get her life back. However, someone from the past enters her life, and she might end up in another mess.

Wayne Mark worked with Aria and Tanya at the same financial consulting firm. He replaced Aria on a major project and is now acting head of the financial department of the company. With Whitney gone, he has gotten his hands on some top-secret documents that reveal alarming details. He soon realizes there is a threat looming around him.

Chapter 1: Starting Over

“A body has been found in an alley, stabbed to death near the local convention center. Police have not confirmed the identity. However, our sources say that the body is believed to be the president of a leading financial company. We are still waiting for the captain of the precinct to comment on this recent murder.”

“On related news, the suicide case of Whitney Fox is now a murder investigation when signs of foul play were found in the autopsy report. There have been speculations that the murder of Ms. Fox is connected to the murder of Mr. Coons that occurred more than a year ago. Aria Raymond was arrested for Coons’ murder when overwhelming evidence was found against her. However, a few months later, the real murderer, a man known only as ‘David’, confessed to the crime, and Raymond was released. Stay tuned for more updates.”

“Now, let’s get the weather update…”

Sanjay switched off the television and sighed. “God only knows how these media channels get their information. Why create a panic so early on?” he thought to himself as he ate his breakfast cereal. As if on cue, his cellphone started ringing. It was Sergeant Jake, who was his partner in the Coons’ murder investigation. They were handling Whitney’s murder investigation as well.

“Hey!”

“Who the hell told these idiots that it’s a murder investigation now!?” Jake clearly sounded annoyed. “As if I don’t have enough to deal with. The press has been calling me nonstop! If I get my hands on whoever leaked this…”

“A good morning to you too, Sarge! Lovely day,” Sanjay chuckled.
