Could that ‘boa’ be slanted toward a femaleagent rather than male? Good question? Could the agent be Geneva indisguise or in deep cover? Better question?
Pamela scans, carefully more googles under‘boa.’ She whispers, softly. “BOA, Baja Outdoor Activities of seakayaking, snorkeling, forest camping and whale watching foroutfitters of expeditions.” Reference presents male perspectiveterm for BOA, not female. Females don’t engage in multiple sportslike guys.
She types, swiftly the coupled words: CIABOA. It returns, quickly. “Boa Nova by CIA, musical group fromSpain.” She shakes, sideways skull. “No, too far out.” She giggles, lightly then pursues more searches on laptop.
Time: 11:13 am. Federal Building. parkinggarage.
Preston holds, vertically finger pads in air.“Three cars.”
Geneva whines, baby-tonish as Preston shoves, violently her body from his FBI car with painted green logo. Sheposes, granite-like with folded fists on thick waist. “Why threeseparate cars, Preston? I wanna ride with you. We’re heading to thesame spot, computer center.”
Preston barks, commandingly & holds, tightly car door touching steering wheel. “Cause, I’m boss,Geneva.” He neck snaps to him & orders, authoritatively.“Larry, take your separate car around the block, flash your badgeand find out where Pamela received the three grand, probably at aWestern Union station, close-by.”
“Those are located at Kangaroo Stores,state-wide.” Arthur stands on passenger side of Preston’s car &details, fully.
Preston orders to Larry. “Go to the firstconvenience Kangaroo, see if she picked up any loot. If not, justkeep searching. We’ll be at computer center scouting and chickenscratching the area for her clues and her person.” Larry nods, oncethan pivots, soldierly following orders.
“I have announced very loudly and studiouslyPamela’s not there.” Geneva talks, loudly & stands taller andmeaner.
“We know that but she left clues for her nextgetaway.” Preston repeats, uselessly to Geneva then glides intoseat.
Vehicle doors slam, nosily. Engines roar downto traffic light, loudly. Eyeballs search open sidewalks, carefully.
Preston stomps, hardy brakes at red lightthen guns engine down 11th Avenue on color change. He’s goingstraight through every traffic light, speeding to the campus.Pamela’s on foot, tapping stacco slowly in high heels. He shouldknow.
Pamela enjoys, happily meeting and greetingPreston every night at 6:30pm with his delicious dinner and herlovely presence at his house for past wonderful and fantastic twoweeks after work. Then, she just stays overnight with him bringingher clothes for morning work or weekend play. Preston doesn’t mind, either.
So, he knows exactly Pamela wears pinksleeveless top and matching skirt with long tanned legs tapping onthree inches of pink sandaled feet. Her signature dress code andtantalizing style creates another appeal to Preston. She smells, invitingly white roses and lavender to his nostrils. Pamela doesnot, absolutely discuss tiny tidbits of professional data fromwork. Her content and charming girly attitude hasn’t changed sincehis intro and invite of their first date. She’s happy and carefreeand funny.
Therefore, some thing terrible has happenedtoday with Geneva. Knowing Geneva, in that nasty wickedly firsthand sense, Geneva has done something illegal or unethical whichhas accidentally involved Pamela. Preston will find out then kickGeneva’s ass out the solar system into the next galaxy. He sneers, deeply.
Preston hits traffic light at 19th Street, driving ferociously. His acute peripheral vision sights, quicklyslumped thin colorful figure in window slightly familiar toPamela’s form. He jerks, sideways skull to left.
“Whoa, man! Eyes on the road, Preston.”Arthur flings, quickly left hand to wheel before car veers intowrong lane, creating an automobile accident. “You’re speeding, buddy. Slow down! She’s not there at computer center, remember. We’ll find Pamela, first, Preston. I promise before Geneva can spinher evil skull, once.”
“You read Geneva as I do.” Preston cutseyeballs back to road, racing down 11th Avenue to 17th Streetlocation of computer center snagging quick right into 10th Avenuebefore turning onto 16th Avenue.
“Read about that slippery serpent in theBible, for the first time when I was 10, that’s Geneva’s intro tothe entire universe, right, man?”
Preston laughs, hardy. “Right, bro?” He sighs& breathes, deeply. “Any theories about this entire stupidsituation?”
“Naw. My hints point to Geneva. She slippedup and either told Pamela something naughty or showed Pamelasomething scaring your girl into hiding.”
“Concur.” Preston nods, once, eyeballs oncity street for proper turn.
“What about that CIA reference to BOA? Whatdid our bedmates say?”
“Nothing as usual! So, we get to figure itand find it before both Pamela and Geneva uncoverssomething…embarrassing.” Preston concludes, finally.
Time: 11:29 am.
Preston squeaks, nosily tires into parkinglot using handicap spot, illegally just, temporarily. He jumps, swiftly out door & marches, steady up stairs into second floorwith Arthur beside him. Geneva and Stockton follows, closely.
Student escorts, quickly Preston intocomputer center and points, rudely at terminal where Pamelapreviously posed, beautifully at computer operator’s glass platformwatching and assisting students needing help withcomputer/educational assignments.
Preston talks, softly to campus student &points, rudely outside door directing him as sentry. Arthur pokes, slowly around room starting with waste basket for clues of Pamela’spresence and her forced getaway.
Stockton occupies, swiftly that particularchair & types, rapidly accessing the last menu from Pamela’ssearches. He overlooks some three previous websites focusing onthis one. He points, rudely at screen. “Looky here. She purchasedthose sequined evening gowns and pearly shoes for… startlinglyprice tag of $2,000. Wow! Guess she’s going dancing.” He chuckles, lightly then types, rapidly. “This face page shows herspending…Holy Cow!” He comments, excitedly. “….over $7000 on toursin…England. Proof, she’s escaping overseas from Bama. See this,Preston.” Stockton points, rudely at destination.
Geneva glides, smoothly next to Stockton.“Wait, hold that screen!” She stares, studiously then pulls herwallet from purse selecting her personal credit card. She studiesmathematical numbers, observantly. She eye burns her green creditcard. “The numbers….they match. Damn! She used my credit card, mypersonal credit to pay for these items. How much is that?”
“7000 for tours plus $2000 for formal gownsthat’s 9000, Geneva.” Stockton announces, boldly as Preston snorts, heavily behind Geneva’s shoulder leaning into the computerscreen.
Preston comments, happily. “She’sresourceful, huh, Geneva?”
Geneva snares, viciously. “That bitch’s deadonce I find her.”
“More baddy news, Geneva. Pamela haspurchased ride from Bama straight to London, England leaving todayat 1:45am. O! She’s booked a first class seat. Bravo, girl!”Stockton cheers,
