him than he lets on, which means this’ll work. Eventually, it’ll work. I can step up my game, but I’ll drive him so crazy he’ll have no choice but to do what I want.

Give me a hard-on and we’re square.

Shower time rolls around, to which Adan demands I get changed, and I refuse. As I’m undressing him, I hum and make sure all my moves are sexual as hell. When I begin washing him, I don’t spend too long on his parts of course, because that would be against the rules, but I do make sure that when I lean down, I breathe out a puff of hot air right on his dick as I’m going past.

He growls.

“Am I hurting you?” I ask innocently, looking up as I continue to wash.

“You’re breathing on my dick.”

“I can’t not breathe, Adan.”

“You’re blowing hot air on it, tryin’ to wake it up. That’s cheating.”

I blink, as if I’m confused. “I’m not touching it.”

“You’re breathin’ on it.”

“I’ll hold my breath then.”

I grin as I continue to wash him and then I stand, eye to eye with him, as I’m washing the soap off with the showerhead. He glares at me, never breaking eye contact.

“You know,” I say with a grin, wetting him slowly. “We kind of know each other better than most couples. I mean, I’ve seen all of you. I’ve washed all of you. We’re practically married.”

He leans in close. “We’re fuckin’ not. A thousand women have seen all of me, and let me tell you, they’ve run soap all over me. This is nothin’ unusual for me.”

Oh.

Harsh.

Trust Adan to be harsh.

“Well, I bet none of them were dressed like this.”

“Plenty,” he grinds out.

Fine.

He wants to play it like that, I can step up my game. I move around to wash his back and very sensually run my hands down the rippled muscles beneath his skin. God he’s beautiful, the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on. The perfect body, the right amount of muscle, and the ink ... oh. It’s lovely.

God dammit, I’m turning myself on.

It’s meant to be the other way around.

I don’t realize how I’m touching him until I snap myself out of my thoughts.

I was really getting into it then, running my hands over him in a way a lover would.

I remove my palms from his skin and turn the shower off.

When I dry him, I make sure more than once to rub my breasts against him, which he rewards me with a growl every time.

Oh yes.

I’ll win this.

One hundred percent.

“Lorelei, this is my best friend, Ramona, and the man she’s currently taking care of, Adan.”

“Nice to meet you.” I smile, extending a hand to the gorgeous woman in front of me.

Her face seems familiar somehow, but I’m not certain where I’ve seen her. Perhaps she just has a face that looks like others, though she is rather unique and absolutely stunning. She’s small with an athletic build, not too muscular but lean in a way that tells you she works out a lot. She’s got the most beautiful, long, straw-colored blond hair and eyes that are the most exceptional shade of brown. They have these little yellow specks all through them, and yet the brown is so dark that when you look at her, it’s almost startling to see the yellow shining through.

She’s got this little button nose and the fullest lips, the girl could be on the cover of a magazine, no doubt about it. She’s wearing tights and a shirt that ties in the middle, showing off what, to me, looks like a nice set of abs. Yeah, she’s gorgeous alright. I know because Adan is staring at her like he wants to eat her alive.

I’m not sure why that bothers me, but it does.

“Adan,” he murmurs, nodding. “I’d shake your hand, but I can’t. You new around here?”

Wow, he’s just diving in.

My heart, my stupid heart, it aches a tiny bit.

“Yes.” She smiles at him, showing perfect white teeth accompanied by the sweetest, softest voice I’ve ever heard. “I’ve only been here a few weeks. What happened to your hands?”

“I was tryin’ to save important stuff in a fire next door and got burned.”

Oh sweet mother ... talk it up, why don’t you?

God.

He is good.

I’ll give him that.

“Oh, my gosh. Are you okay?”

He grins. “I will be.”

Grins.

He’s grinning at her.

Grinning.

I feel that, right to my core.

I’ve seen the charming side to Adan, obviously. He has the nickname Papi for a reason. That’s because he can turn it on when he wants to and get whatever woman he wants. Every woman except me, it would seem. Perhaps I really don’t do anything for him?

Ouch.

“I’ve been nursing him back to health,” I say, trying to snap their lovey eyes back to the real world.

Eve looks to me and gives me a sympathetic smile.

I roll my eyes.

Trying to play it off.

But the truth is, it’s hurting a little more than it should.

“Oh, you’re a nurse?” Lorelei asks me. “How wonderful.”

“I am.” I smile.

Can’t hate her, she’s lovely.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you better; I met Riggs this morning and Remy. I’m certain every single one of you that walks through this door gets better looking. And that goes for the women, too. Ramona, you’re seriously stunning.”

God dammit.

I like her.

“Then you’ll fit right in,” Adan says to her. “You’re beautiful.”

Fuck.

What the hell?

I’m not sure why it feels like a knife to the chest, over and over again, but it really does. It’s making me feel ... pathetic.

“Oh,” Lorelei blushes. “You’re too kind.”

“I’d love to take you out for a look around town, if you’ve got time off?”

God, he’s asking her out now.

He never asks anyone out.

He fucks and leaves.

That’s what Adan does.

“That would be wonderful, I’m not working tomorrow.”

“Good, I’ll come and get you then.”

“With what?” I point out. “You can’t drive, Adan.”

He glances at me.

“I can drive us,” Lorelei offers. “It’s totally fine.”

Adan grins at me.

Dick.

Giant dick.

“I have to
