Pulling back from him I moved my arms and put them around his neck and said, โThat was nice.โ
Smiling at me he nodded and said, โYeah, it was.โ
โYouโre a nice guy Cole.โ
โThanks,โ he said, โI was just thinking the same about you.โ
Laughing I asked, โOh yeah?โ
Nodding he said, โYeah.โ
Giving him a quick peck on the lips I asked, โSo you think Iโm a nice guy too?โ
Chuckling he said, โNo, the opposite, but more liked a nice wholesome girl,โ pausing he continued, โThereโs a phrase Iโm trying to remember but canโt think of right now that describes you. Hmmm. What is that phrase?โ
โThe girl next door?โ I asked.
โThatโs it!โ
โIโll take that as a compliment,โ I said.
โAnd you should,โ he replied.
As we stood there gazing at one another we ended up kissing again and I was extremely tempted to have sex with him, but the fear of the act, plus the fact that I was not on birth control kept me in check.
Breaking our kiss, I asked, โItโs kind of hot, think we should get out of the pool and get something to drink?โ
Nodding he said, โThat might not be a bad idea.โ
Cole and I ended up heading to the kitchen where we sat down, had a refreshing beverage and chatted, and we truly had a great conversation. He was not only attractive but also had a wonderful personality.
After changing I walked him to the front door where I opened it and said, โI had a great afternoon with you Cole.โ
Nodding he said, โMe too.โ
Standing there in awkward silence for a moment I said, โMaybe we could get together again if youโd like?โ
With an ear to ear smile he said, โIโd really like that.โ
Starting out the door he suddenly turned around, gave me one last kiss and walked down the steps, and I stood there watching him until he was out of sight.
Chapter 15
It was 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon as mom and I pulled up in front of the residence of Dawn Mills in Center Point. Getting out of the car we walked up the steps and rang the doorbell and waited. Within a few seconds an attractive blonde woman of about forty answered the door and asked, โHi, may I help you?โ
โWe bought the house you just sold in Four Points and were wondering if we could talk to you,โ Mom said.
โPlease, come in,โ she said.
Following her into her living room she invited us to sit down on the couch and then asked, โWould you like something to drink?โ
Shaking my head, I said, โNo thank you but we appreciate it.โ
Sitting down in a huge leather recliner she asked, โSo, what can I tell you about the house? Is there something wrong? We thought we did a pretty good job of disclosing everything that might be wrong with the place.โ
Shaking my head I said, โNothing like that, I just want to asked you about something,โ and I then reached into the tote bag I was carrying and pulled out the mysterious box that housed the necklace that transformed me into a girl.
As she saw me produce the box her eyes became wide and I could tell that I had definitely gotten her attention.
โWhere did you find it?โ she asked.
โI was putting up books and found it in a panel behind the bookcase.โ
Nodding she said, โWhich is exactly where I found it and also left it, when I tucked it away there twenty years ago.โ
Pausing she looked at me and asked, โHave you tried it on?โ
I nodded.
โDid you wear it to bed overnight by chance?โ
โI did.โ
โSo did I one night twenty years ago.โ
โMs. Mills โฆ.โ
โCall me Dawn,โ she said.
โDawn, so you, like me woke up one morning to find that you had been turned โฆ.โ
Cutting me off she said, โYes, I used to be a guy, until that morning I woke up and everything had changed.โ
Leaning forward she asked, โHow are you dealing with the change?โ
โPretty well all things considered. It is a bit of a switch though. You seemed to have dealt with it okay.โ
Nodding she said, โI did not at first, but as time went on I accepted it, and eventually learned to love being a female, which was actually good for me. My life as D-O-N, versus D-A-W-N, was a reckless one and it seemed like I always had run-ins with the law, was getting into trouble, and was a general hell raiser. Plus, I drank heavily and would even use drugs from time to time. After finding the necklace one night I put it on and then passed out, as I was pretty wasted that night, and when I woke up I was a girl, the one you see before you, only I was twenty years younger. At first, I hated it, and could not believe that something so terrible had happened to me, but as time went on I settled down, and with the help of my mother learned how to live and act as a girl. I tell you one thing it was probably a good thing because the path I was on as a man was a destructive one and if I hadnโt been changed I would probably have ended up dead or in prison.โ
โAnd youโve been happy being a female?โ I asked.
Smiling she said, โYes, and Iโve truly loved my life. Within a year of the change I got married, ended up becoming a
