have quadrupled. When I’m around her, the heat between us is scorching, and every minute I spend with her makes it harder for me to resist her temptation. I think the feeling is mutual, especially after I drove her home last night.

It was another late evening. The previous week, I had ordered her a car to take her home, but last night, I took it upon myself to drive her home. The moment she got into the small confines of my Porsche, I was engulfed in everything her. Her sugary scent, the heat of her skin sizzling from her arm to mine, and how fucking perfect she looked, sitting to my right.

“So, why the Porsche, huh?” Reagan asked as I pulled out onto the road.

“A Porsche was always my dream car when I was younger, so when I was finally able to afford one, I traded in my shitty Ford for this beaut.”

“She is definitely a stunner.” Reagan literally stroked the dashboard with her pretty manicured hand, and I swore, she might as well have been caressing me with the goose bumps trembling through my body.

“What’s one thing you can’t wait to purchase when you become a high-earning lawyer?”

“I’m glad you have confidence that I will become a high-earning lawyer,” she scoffed with humor to her voice.

“I am very confident you will. You’re already running circles around the first-year associates. I can’t wait to see what you’re like as a first-year associate,” I told her honestly.

I wasn’t being biased because she was Edwin’s daughter or because I’d slept with her. She had a huge potential to be the best lawyer there could be.

“I thought I was the one who should be kissing your ass, not the other way around.”

God, her wit was something I could never get enough of.

“You haven’t answered my question,” I said as I hit a set of traffic lights that just turned red.

She did this cute hum while she thought for a moment, and the charming noise she made had more goose bumps traveling across my body.

Jesus Christ.

“Probably an expensive purse. Chanel or Louis Vuitton.”

“A purse?” I asked with disbelief.

“Well, yeah. It isn’t because I have an addiction to purses. I literally have two purses to my name, but all successful women I’ve seen on TV have these perfect designer purses. So, once I am able to spend three or four grand on just a purse, I’ll know I have made it.”

I quickly glanced her way, smiling before returning my attention to the road. When the light turned green, I picked up speed again.

“Four thousand dollars on a purse though?”

“Well, what about the suits you wear, huh? They must cost some dough.”

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw she had pivoted her body to face me, and it took all my power to keep my stare forward.

“I’ve only ever spent that much on one suit, and it was when I became junior partner.”

“How is that not the same as me buying a purse?”

“One, your client isn’t going to care what purse you have. They will care about your appearance, and expensive suits do that justice.”

“You’re only saying that because you’re a dude.”

I quickly glanced her way, my lips turning up into a smile. “You’re probably right.”

Eventually, I pulled up in front of her apartment, and I suddenly felt sad that I had to bid her good night. It was ridiculous really since I’d already spent all day with her, yet I still didn’t want a break from her. I could spend day and night with her and never get bored. I just loved being around her. It didn’t bode well with my situation though. The longer we worked together, the more I wanted her…yet I couldn’t have her. It wasn’t only unethical, but also disrespectful to Edwin. My head knew that…but my heart didn’t give a shit. I wanted her regardless. I switched the engine off, and the overhead light illuminated over us.

“Thank you for driving me home. We seem to be working later and later,” she said with a light chuckle while unbuckling her belt.

I turned to face her. “It’s the life of an attorney for you. Late nights and early mornings.”

“If you didn’t love being a lawyer, you wouldn’t do it,” she offered.

She was right. If I didn’t love my job, I certainly wouldn’t be killing myself day in and day out to be the best lawyer this city had ever seen. I went to speak, but my attention was pulled away by a stray eyelash lingering on her cheek.

“Stay still. You have an eyelash right here…”

Without any thought, I brought my hand up to her face and gently brushed the eyelash away with my finger. Reagan’s eyes fluttered as I touched her, and my entire body came alive with electricity.

God, the things this woman did to me with only a single touch.

As I pulled back, I noticed the eyelash was still on my forefinger. Holding said finger in front of her alluring lips, I said in a barely there whisper, “Make a wish.”

Her lips curved into an amused smile, her eyes drifting shut. A tingle shuddered through me as she blew against my finger, and my dick grew hard against my slacks.

A few seconds passed before she reopened her eyes, and the heat I saw behind her hooded gaze made me forget all about the eyelash. Hell, I couldn’t even remember my own name. All I could focus on was this woman who had seemingly changed my life in just a single meeting. I was starting to understand what had happened to Nate and Logan when the bow and arrow filled with love potion hit them in the asses. I got the distinct feeling it was happening to me…yet I couldn’t fight against it. I didn’t want to.

We both seemed to be caught in a trance. Reagan’s breath deepened, and mine sped up. Her eyes dilated while mine stung with the hormones shooting through my bloodstream and straight to my cock.
