She climbs out from under the desk with the pen she dropped in her hand. She stands and smooths down her dress, and I marvel at how not a single hair on her head is out of place even though she was just gorging on my cock.
She sets the pen back down on my desk. “And here’s your pen, Mr. Jensen. I’ll be getting back to work now.”
She turns, and with her head held high, she walks out of my office while I’m still trying to catch my breath.
Holy shit.
I get out of my convertible and round to the passenger side to help my mom out.
“You don’t have to help me get out of the car, I only had surgery on my wrist. I can still do things on my own.”
“Stop complaining, I’m trying to be a gentleman here, Mom.”
“Fine.” She pouts, taking my hand.
I help her out before bringing the seat forward to let my dad out. Jace, like some cool motherfucking ninja, literally jumps out of the backseat.
Jace lets out a low whistle as he looks up at my boss’s mansion. “Damn, this place is something. How many years until you’re this loaded?”
I shoot him a glare just as my attention follows the two other cars that pull up beside us. Nate, Logan, Remi, and Ally pile out of one car while Kaelyn, Chase, his daughter, and one huge-ass diaper bag exit the other.
“Hey, guys,” I greet my entire family.
“Wow, this place is stunning!” Kaelyn exclaims as she pulls me in for a hug.
I frown when I feel how little clothes she has on. Yes, she might be a couple of years older than me, but I’m still protective of her.
“Um, is that what you’re wearing?” I question as we pull apart, and I glance down at her barely there shorts and tiny crop top.
“You do realize, it’s, like, a hundred degrees out here today?”
“Yes, but couldn’t you have worn something…” I circle my finger in the general vicinity of her lack of clothing, trying to think of the right word.
“What, that covers every inch of me?”
“Well, yeah. This is my boss’s house.”
“It’s a Fourth of July pool party. I highly doubt your boss is expecting prissy lawyer types in their suits and ties, baby brother.”
“I’m sorry. I know. I just don’t want anyone trying to take advantage of you.”
Just then, Chase approaches with Sophia in his arms, and Kaelyn sidles up to him.
“The only person who’s going to take advantage of me is this big guy here,” she says, smacking him against the stomach.
My own stomach curdles at the thought of my sister doing anything sexual with her boyfriend.
“Ew,” is all I say before squeezing Chase on the shoulder. “I’m going to pretend you don’t do nasty things to my sister and just say hi to this little one. Hi, gorgeous girl. How are you doing?” I say to Sophia as I take hold of her hand.
“Blae,” she replies in her adorable toddler voice, still unable to pronounce her Ks.
I glance at Chase. “Have you been putting steroids in her milk? Jeez, she just gets bigger every time I see her.”
Chase laughs, nodding. “I know, right? I was almost tempted to bring a leash because the minute I set her down, she’ll be off.”
“I’m going simming,” Sophia tells me with a screech, kicking her legs.
I stroke her fine blonde hair on her head. “Well, she has four of her uncles here, so we’ll all keep a watch.”
“Thanks. We’ll definitely have to go on defense with this one.”
I step past Chase and clap both Nate and Logan on the back before pulling Ally in for a hug and then Remi. As I pull back, I can’t help noticing Remi’s baby bump.
“Wow, baby Jensen sure is growing.”
“He also won’t stop kicking,” she says with a wince, rubbing over her stomach.
“He?” I ask with surprise, my eyes locking on Nate’s.
Remi’s eyes go wide, and she glances at Nate apologetically. “Shit, I wasn’t supposed to say anything.”
“You’re having a boy?” my sister asks behind me, excitement filling her voice.
“Well, yeah, but we wanted to keep it a surprise…so surprise!”
“Oh my God, that’s amazing!” Kaelyn rushes over to Remi, squeezing the hell out of her yet still being mindful of her bump.
“That’s really awesome. Congrats,” I tell Remi and my brother.
“Blake, when I invited you, I didn’t mean that the party was in my driveway!”
My head whips over to the entrance, and I see Edwin grinning from ear to ear. I shake my head with a chuckle at the bright yellow Hawaiian shirt he’s wearing.
Christ.
“Come on, guys. Let’s go,” I say, and we all make our way to the porch.
“Welcome, the Jensen family,” he greets.
Everyone responds with waves and hellos.
“I’d introduce you to everybody, but you’ll forget their names in three seconds flat,” I tell Edwin, and he nods.
“He’s right. I’m useless with names,” he addresses everyone with a grin. “But come on in, and let’s make this Fourth of July the best one yet.”
Edwin guides us through the mansion and outside to the backyard.
That’s when my jaw drops.
Holy shit.
This isn’t a backyard; it’s a fucking vacation complex. In fact, I’ve been to a Las Vegas hotel that looked just like this.
There’s a huge Olympic-sized pool with a built-in slide and hot tub, a hut-style bar, luxurious loungers, a huge firepit, and a terrace with professional chefs cooking delicious Fourth of July food on a grill. Not to mention, there’s waitstaff walking around the pool area with trays of water for the guests who are already here, and a DJ is set up on the far end of the garden. And as for the decorations, they are insane. There are flag-colored lanterns, round floats in the pool, American flags, and the grass is painted with red, white, and blue stars.
Wow, Edwin really goes all out when he has company.
My mom nudges my arm. “It was very generous of your boss to invite us.
