I’d been nervous about today, but surprisingly, it was Mac who calmed me last night and assured me that our lives together were meant to be and that everything was going to be imperfectly perfect.

The moment I spotted him, my lungs froze and my breath caught. Mac was standing under the gazebo that Parker, Laila, and Mariah had draped with flowy white fabric and clusters of floral sprays.

A flutter rushed through me, the way it always did when I looked at him. My mate was incredibly handsome in his light-gray linen pants and bright white button-down shirt.

Mac said a few words to the wedding officiant, then his smiling face nodded at his firefighting buddies seated in the crowd. As he turned and spotted me, his grin was replaced with a look so intense, so filled with adoration, there was absolutely no doubt the man was in love with me.

I was sure my cheeks blushed bright red, and I averted my gaze to the ground as the three of us continued our slow walk to the gazebo.

It was going to be interesting having wolf shifters for a husband and a daughter, but there was no one on earth I’d rather go through life with than those two.

The guests had all eyes focused on me as I slowly walked past the chairs that were set up in the sand on either side of the aisle. Parker wiggled her fingers in a mini wave. I’d promised her a written testimonial from Melody Manes for her website, since she was taking all the credit for our pairing. Ingrid waggled her eyebrows and gave me two thumbs-up.

The ceremony itself was short and sweet, and throughout, I used the tissue from Ingrid to gently wipe away tears that I couldn’t keep from falling.

Afterward, we all met up at Mimi’s Cabana to celebrate.

I still maintained that Sunkissed Key was a magical place. At least it was for Mac and me and our family. We had everything—signed adoption papers, a framed marriage certificate, and we’d even acquired a cat that Ame just adored. He’d been a stray that showed up at our door one day and never left—a tree-climbing calico we named Walter.
