and stroked Blarโ€™s back. โ€œAre you ready to send me home?โ€

Blar licked his lips again and nodded.

โ€œThank you,โ€ Preyna cooed, and she leaned down and kissed his little blue head right between his horns.

Blar mustered up a portal for Preyna, and the sorceress waved farewell before she stepped through and vanished.

After that was done, Blair walked back over to the fire and once again collapsed. He wasted no time getting back to sleep, either, and he began snoring almost as soon as his head hit the ground.

We were all rather quiet as I finished cooking our dinner, and I even made a special treat of baked pumpkin for the little dragons. I knew Preyna would make good on her promise to get Blar more of the treats he liked so much, but I also figured they deserved something special after everything theyโ€™d been through the past few days.

Not only had it been stressful as far as them having to do plenty of physical labor with the fights weโ€™d been in, but they also had to go through the emotional turmoil of seeing fellow dragons captured and imprisoned. I knew it was rough on everyone to have to leave the dragon in the dungeon behind, but all I could do was make sure we went back for him.

I knew the poor thing had been there a while, and I wanted to rip him away from that place and never look back, but I needed him to stay there just a little bit longer so when I freed him I could free all the other dragons as well.

And while it was still sad leaving him in that dark place, I knew heโ€™d understand. Dragons were selfless creatures, and if given the chance, they would gladly help others of their kind. The comradery in dragon valley was just one instance of their unique ability to take care of one another, regardless of the circumstances.

I knew all the dragons in Astaโ€™s homeworld tried to protect one another, and it would be worth it soon enough when they could live free once more like they used to.

I thought about what Preyna said, how the dragons hadnโ€™t always lived in the valley all together, and I couldnโ€™t help the smile that came over my face as I imagined them roaming freely throughout the realms.

After dinner was over, and weโ€™d all had another couple of pints, I noticed Kas and Eira leaning against each other, and both of them were nearly asleep.

โ€œWhy donโ€™t you two head inside,โ€ I chuckled softly. โ€œIโ€™ll be in soon.โ€

โ€œAlright,โ€ Eira yawned and stretched. โ€œIโ€™m beat. Itโ€™s been a long few days.โ€

โ€œIt has,โ€ I agreed. โ€œGo get some rest.โ€

โ€œKas,โ€ the redhead said, and she poked the strawberry-blonde. โ€œKas, come on.โ€

โ€œMmmm, okay,โ€ the Valkyrie grumbled, and she allowed Eira to pull her up by the arm and lead her to the small cottage.

Blar stood up and yawned, too, and then he, Inger, and Uffe followed the girls inside. Svass had been asleep on Eiraโ€™s shoulders for some time, and I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if thatโ€™s where she slept all night, since I doubted the redhead would remember to move her before she fell asleep. At this point, the little yellow dragon was more a part of the warband leader than she was her own separate being.

โ€œAsta,โ€ I said with a small smile. โ€œDid you want to go inside with Eira and Kas?โ€

โ€œNo.โ€ The white-haired elf girl looked at the cottage and then back at me, and her cheeks flushed with color. โ€œIs it alright if I stay with you for a while?โ€

โ€œOf course,โ€ I told her. โ€œIโ€™d love the company.โ€

โ€œOkay.โ€ The elf girl bounded over and sat down next to me. Then she smiled wide and cocked her head to the side as she stared into the fire.

I smiled, too, and together we sat and stared at the flames for a few minutes as we finished our mead.

โ€œI was hoping I would get some alone time with you,โ€ Asta said, and she looked up at the stars.

โ€œOh, yeah?โ€ I asked as my brow furrowed with confusion. โ€œIs everything alright?โ€

I was worried about Asta since weโ€™d gone to the dungeon sheโ€™d been kept in before, and I only hoped she wasnโ€™t too upset by the whole ordeal. I would never want her to have to relive such a horrific time in her life.

โ€œYes, Iโ€™m fine,โ€ she assured me with a smile, and her cheeks once again flushed with color. โ€œI was just hoping we couldโ€ฆ spend some time together.โ€

Asta placed her hand on mine, and I smiled at her not-so-subtle attempt to seduce me. She was so incredibly sweet and timid at times, it was hard to think of her as anything other than adorable.

But underneath that sweetness, I knew there was a sexy elf just waiting to be unleashed.

โ€œI think that can be arranged,โ€ I said, and I lifted her chin so her yellow eyes locked on mine before I lowered my lids and pressed my mouth to hers.

Asta sighed against my mouth, and I felt my body respond to her sweet breath. The blood practically burned through my veins like a wildfire, and my cock pressed insistently against the seam of my pants.

I wanted her, and I knew she wanted me, too.

The white-haired elf girl reached her hands up to undo my braid and tangled her fingers in my strands, and her hands were all over my body as I kissed her deeper and gently nibbled on her bottom lip.

โ€œMmm, Rath, I want you so bad,โ€ she moaned as she pulled her mouth away from mine, and then she kissed along my jaw down to my neck.

The feel of her mouth on my skin drove me wild, and my cock throbbed in response to the feel of her warm
