Rescue

Date: June 26th, 2021 – 9:04 AM

8 minutes remaining till detonation.

Jack sighed as he looked down at the Hangar Bay, at the four prisoners kneeling by Commander Morales. Jack recognized immediately who that was, he knew him back in 2999 when he fought against Jay and him mainly during Kimon’s insurgency or invasion. He worked alongside with Kimon or Silver Ny, Jack did not know which, but deep down he knew that Morales had some secrets stored away in that mind of his. He stared at the redhead teenager, along with a brunette and two teenaged boys all plasma cuffed, kneeling on the ground.

Jack snuck on top of the Helibladers on the Hangar Bay, trying to find a way to divert Commander Morales away from the prisoners if possible. He steadily climbed down the Heliblader, tiptoed behind it going towards the next air vehicle to hide behind as he came closer to the prisoners. He saw Commander Morales talking with the prisoners and then raising his plasma magnum.

“So, I’m gonna repeat myself again,” Commander Morales spoke elegantly. “Where is Lemer’s friend Jack Walker? I’m sure you work for them!”

“We’ve told you,” Aiden spoke. “We have no idea who the hell Lemer is or this Jack Walker person is. We have no idea how your ship came to this world. We literally saw it come from the sky as we spent our time on Liberty Island until your sorry ass started attacking our Manhattan.”

Morales raises his magnum towards Aiden’s face and smacks the hilt of it onto his face. “You must know something, as you were fighting off the AI militants on Liberty Island.”

“Yeah no duh, Sherlock,” Aiden began to talk sarcastically. “We’re Stellar-Beings. What do you expect from us?”

Jack saw Morales smack Aiden again, as his face cringed at how much pain that teenager was going through. He looked at his stopwatch on his holographic phone where it displayed in blue neon letters.

Jack could not believe that two minutes passed by so quick. He had to act fast or else all will be lost. As he stood next to a Sparrow and Heliblader, he knew deep down, he could not just escape the Freighter and abandon those innocent teenagers behind, Jay would disown him forever if he were to do that. Without any further hesitation Jack threw an EMP grenade towards the small squadron of AI militants that were surrounding Commander Morales. The EMP unleashed its small radius of electro magnetic pulse, temporary ruining the circuitry of the AI militants but not fully.

As the AI militants struggled to raise their weapons, Jack slid across shooting both his plasmatic shotgun along with a magnum, which inflicted double critical damage to the AI militants, immediately eliminating the entire squadron. He approached Morales with his magnum to his head before he could react.

“This ends here Morales,” Jack spoke as the Stellar-Beings saw him pointing his magnum towards his head. “I’ve had enough of you, this invasion, it all ends now.”

“Well, well,” Morales spoke pleasantly. “If its not the infamous Jack Walker. I’ve caught your friend Lemer.”

“I know,” Jack spoke as he pressured the tip of the magnum on his head.

“You really don’t have the guts to kill me Walker,” Morales spoke.

“Doesn’t matter either way, you lose Morales.”

“I don’t think so Walker. Timemaster’s plan to take over Earth, will benefit his plan for galaxy domination once we travel in the future. Soon, all of you will be bowing down to the great Timemaster himself.”

“Not happening on my turf or my timeline. I am gonna count to ten, starting from now, will blow your brains out, if you do not comply and answer my questions. Who do you really work for, Kimon or Silver Ny? And who is Silver Ny? Who is Timemaster?” Jack spoke in his grimace voice firmly, a tactic he used to try to scare the person he was holding hostage.

“Hahaha, you really think you are gonna do it Walker,” Morales laughed hysterically.

“10,” Jack began the countdown.

“Alright, this has to be some trick of yours, Walker,” Morales said.

Morales stood silent, as he did not believe that Walker was gotta pull the trigger and kill him simply, as three more seconds passed by.

“You’re just a minor Walker, you won’t kill me. I know you won’t.”

“Says who? Does it matter which timeline that I kill you in? 4!” Jack spoke.

“Come on Walker, you won’t do this!”

“He’s gonna kill him!” Luis screamed in fear.

“Can’t wait to see this,” as Aiden smiled happily. “This prick deserves to die.”

“NO!” Veronica and Allison yelled.

As Morales shut his eyes, Jack looked dead into his eyes as he pulled the trigger of his plasma magnum.
