1 Blow
Present day
Five months later
No one ever said being a man in my position would be easy. Which is for damn sure. At the age of twenty-five, I took the Presidentβs chair, and in the last four years of holding it, itβs been one headache after another. My VP, Nines, being that he was the Prezβs son, thought it was his birthright to take the seat. But thatβs not how our club does shit. The founding members put into place a rule that the President of each charter had to be voted into the chair. My brothers picked me and Stoney, the Prez of the national charter, as well as Hammer, Twister, and Grinder all agreed, I was a good fit for the position.
Nines didnβt take too kindly to this and tried to do some shit that caused him to be sent out as a Nomad to clear his head. I couldnβt lose him as a VP or a brother because the manβs my best friend still. When heβd come back, it was as if he were a different man. It was as if the man himself had grown beyond his years. Donβt know what the hell he did while on the road, but heβd left for six months, came back, and resumed his seat at the table. This he did after making a verbal apology to all of his brothers.
My cell phone rings and dances around on the table as someone knocks on my door to the office. My new office that Iβd taken over when I switched with Nines nearly five months ago after doing something that I hated myself for. But it was necessary. Or so I thought. I didnβt think it would push her to leave altogether, only to move on from what she feels for me.
Iβm not blind for knowing she thought herself to be in love with me, but that shit canβt happen. For one, I donβt want to ever put a target on her back. More than it already is with her being a brotherβs daughter. For another reason, the woman is smart as hell and deserves to go to college to do something with her life rather than being stuck here as an olβ lady. Nothing wrong with any of the women around here having that title, but for me, it just ainβt gonna happen.
Therefore, Iβd done what I had to for Stormβs sake. I knew sheβd come find me. Itβs why I avoided her as much as possible. When the chance struck and those three bitches who came to Stormβs grad party, came on to me, I took advantage and had them in my office. One riding my cock, one riding my face, and the last riding my fingers while suckinβ the tits of one of the other two.
In the midst of it all, Iβd seen the horror and hurt on her face that Iβd choose to fuck three bitches than to be with her.
Sighing, I pick up my phone while yelling out for whoever it is to come in.
Glancing down at the phone, I furrow my brow at the unknown caller. Shaking my head, I ignore it. Unless youβre one of my brothers or someone I need to speak with, I donβt answer unless I absolutely have to.
The door opens, and I look up to find Sniper coming in with a grim expression on his face. βWhatβs wrong?β I demand as my heart plummets down to my stomach. Please tell me it doesnβt have anything to do with Storm.
βI just got a call from Tracker, Prez. I gotta get to Nerd. He and his olβ lady have been in an accident. Fuckinβ didnβt even know my kid had an olβ lady. I need Rain and Storm to stay here at the clubhouse. Rainβs already here. But Iβve sent Shiner and Torch to get her from the cabin,β Sniper says gruffly.
βNerd okay?β I ask on a somewhat relieved breath.
βDonβt know yet. Just got the call from Tracker after it happened, they were still on the scene. Gotta get out of here and get to him. All I know is that Rain and Storm both need to be here where I know theyβre safe.β I donβt blame him for wanting the women in his life safe while he goes and takes care of his son.
βYou know weβll look after the two of them while you go see to Nerd. Call me when you get there and let me know whatβs going on and if you need anything,β I inform him with a nod.
Nodding, Sniper looks to want to say something else but holds himself back from doing so.
Turning on his heel, my brother leaves my office, and I go back to sitting in my chair behind my desk. Needing to know whatβs going on as a precautionary measure, I snag my phone up off the desk and shoot a text to Stoney. I know heβll text me with the information soon as he can.
Until then, I get back to work and brace myself for seeing the girl Iβve watched grow into a young woman and refuse to allow myself to have. Storm being here at the clubhouse will be utter torture for me, as Iβm sure she most definitely hates me now after what she witnessed.
Throwing the pen on top of the stack of papers, I furrow my brows. Somethingβs not adding up with the books. I know itβs not on our end. Not only have I checked the numbers, but so have Surge and Nines. Theyβd brought this to my attention, and Iβd told them Iβd take a look before we took this any further. Seeing that theyβre both right, I need to call church.
This isnβt some small amount of money weβre talking about thatβs gone missing.
No, weβre talking about nearly half a mil vanishing, and we need to find it. Itβs money that belongs to the club, and whoever took it is
