I shot the text off without hesitation. Iβve known D for a long time and havenβt seen him in a while. He and Nick used to be really close. Now not so much, but D still texts me from time to time.
My phone pings, and I glance at the screen.
D: Sounds good. Canβt wait to see you, beautiful.
D has always called me beautiful. I donβt think Iβve ever heard him really call me by anything else.
Glancing at the time, I figure I have time to shower and get to the diner in time to meet up with D.
Letβs just hope I can get there before Blow or anyone else can stop me from leaving. I think a chance to catch up with an old friend is just what I need right now.
3 Blow
Last night, I didnβt expect Storm to pull the little stunt she did when she stripped down to her bra and panties in front of me. I figured sheβd go in the damn bathroom and change into the shirt Iβd given her. But no, the little wench marched her sexy ass over to the bed and my eyes soaked in every inch of her while she changed right there in front of me.
My only fuckinβ savinβ grace had been sheβd left her bra and panties on. If she hadnβt, I swear I wouldnβt have been responsible for my actions where sheβs concerned.
After she got in bed, I finally moved and went about doing my thing and joined her. Needing to distract myself, Iβd turned the TV on in order to attempt to block out thoughts of taking Storm in my arms as I sunk my cock deep inside her.
I barely slept last night, wanting to relish in the feeling of having Storm in my arms, so this morning I knew exactly when sheβd hopped out of them all but rushing from the room. I allowed her to do this only because I knew she needed it, and so did I, to be honest. By having her in my bed, I fucked up. Holding her all night the way I did is gonna haunt me for the rest of my damn life βcause I canβt allow myself to have her. Storm needs a better life than what I can give her.
Taking a quick shower, I get dressed and head to my office to avoid seeing Storm. With everyone awake, I donβt need to worry about keeping an eye on her. My brothers will watch out for her and not let her leave.
Burying my head in the books once again, I shoot a text off to Nines, Lucky, and Shiner, needing them to come in here. They all enter the office together moments later, Nines carrying an extra cup of coffee in hand.
Thank fuck since I didnβt go get any. I reach out and take the mug from my VP.
βDonβt get used to this treatment, Prez,β Nines mutters.
βWonβt.β Is all I say in response as I lift the black liquid to my lips and swallow a hefty amount. Pulling the mug from my mouth, I set it on the desk and meet each of my brothersβ gazes. βSeems we have a theif,β I announce.
βFigured that, Prez. Question is, who?β Nines grumbles.
βLucky, Shiner, I want you two checkinβ into the businesses. Iβm willing to bet itβs Kurt whoβs doing it, but without proof, I canβt confirm. Also, get Keys to look at the cameras. I wanna know who all he has coming and going from that office,β I order. I never liked Kurt, but the fact heβs Grizβs brother, we gave him a job managing multiple businesses for us. Griz isnβt gonna like this βcause itβs his blood, but then again, he might not give a damn considering heβs had more than one run-in with Kurt.
βGot it, Prez,β Lucky says with a quick nod.
Shiner opens his mouth to speak when someone knocks on the door.
βYeah,β I call out for them to come in. When the door opens, Rain steps in. βHey, Rain, what can I do for you? You okay?β
βHave any of you by chance seen Storm?β My gut twists into a dozen knots at Rainβs question.
βWhat do you mean? She should be here,β I mutter, coming to my feet.
βIβve looked everywhere for her and asked some of the others, no oneβs seen her,β Rain murmurs with a tremble of her lip. Being Sniperβs olβ lady, Iβm sure sheβs been filled in on the situation to an extent with Nerd, seeing as to her, heβs one of her babies.
βWeβll find her,β I say, rounding my desk. I clasp her shoulder, giving her a squeeze in comfort. Rainβs a one-of-a-kind woman and Sniperβs a lucky fucker to have her as his olβ lady. All of us are lucky, to be honest, since she does everything, she can keep the women around here, as Storm would call them, fallen harlots. This name stuck to our clubwhores, and Rain takes care of making sure they stay in line and to do as theyβre supposed to.
βI know you will, Blow, but just remember, donβt be too hard on her,β Rain mutters and leaves my office.
What the hell does she mean, donβt be too hard on Storm? The woman is missing, and now Iβve gotta find her.
βLucky, Shiner, you two get on Kurt and this bullshit. Nines get Keys to track Stormβs phone and tell me where she is. Iβm gonna head out to see if I can find her,β I growl as I stalk toward the door to leave.
βPrez, why donβt you just wait a minute and see for yourself what Keys has to say,β Nines suggests.
βBecause I do that, I miss the chance of possibly finding her sooner. You know Storm. Most likely, she went to that diner down on the edge of town,β I mutter without stopping.
I storm out of the clubhouse to my bike. Straddling the back of my girl, I start her up
