“Nope,” I answer popping the p. I pick up the letter again and read.
“I love you both and though I can’t see it in person, I know you two are going to make each other happy for a lifetime. I hope you understand now why I did what I did. Take care of each other. Love hard. And live every second smiling. There’s no time to waste. Especially in the baby making department.”
“She’s pushing it,” June mumbles, and I run my hands across her stomach.
“I don’t know, I can’t wait to see what you would like carrying my baby.”
Her cheeks heat and she pushes my hand away. We’ve talked about having kids, and only last week did we decide that we wanted to try soon to add to our family, but we’re just going to let it happen.
“Just keep reading.” June places a kiss on my temple. “We’ll talk about that later.”
“As long as we can practice while we talk.” I bite the edge of her earlobe, and her body turns to mush in my arms.
Maggie clears her throat. “We’re right here, Alex.”
I smirk and finish reading the letter where she signs off, telling us again she loves us. I fold the letter and place it back in the envelope for safekeeping.
“Is there a letter for if we didn’t make it the year?” I ask, my curiosity bubbling. I can’t help wondering what kind of tongue lashing Liz would give us if we didn’t succeed in her plan.
“What makes you think she wrote one for you if you didn’t make it?”
“It’s Liz.”
He laughs and digs into his bag. “Right, and you’re you. So yes, I brought it.” He hands me the envelope only made out to me.
“Where’s June’s?”
“Liz didn’t write her one. Just you if it didn’t work out.”
“That hardly seems right. It could have been her fault too,” I joke.
“Alex. Seriously. Me?” June shoves me playfully and hops off my lap.
“Where do you think you’re going?” I grab her around the waist and pull her back down to me. “You’re reading this with me.”
“If I must.”
“Dear Alex, what are you doing reading this letter? You should be making plans for a honeymoon. Stubborn and nosy as always.
And if you’re reading this and know nothing about a honeymoon.
Well, you’re an idiot!!! Close this letter now and go fix things. Open your damn ears and listen. Kelley will know what to do.
But I seriously hope you’re planning a damn honeymoon right now.
Working on my grandniece or nephew. Hop to it. You ain’t getting younger.
But remember I love you either way,
Liz.”
“Well then.” I laugh, glancing up at June who is beet red. Okay, Liz, message received. “Kelley about this honeymoon, I’m going to need the details as soon as possible. It appears Liz has given us another task to fulfill within the year. This time though, I think we’ll both be on board for the challenge.”

To my husband: Thank you for being the most supportive person in the world as I take on this publishing journey. For taking care of the rugrats so I can write and also reading every chapter against your will. (HA! I’m just kidding.) At least till the point where you get annoyed with me because I ask you every hour if you read the last chapter. Love you.
To Leslie: Girl!!! Again, this story is for you and I would have been lost without your help and support! I don’t know what I would do without you. (You’re my hero!) You read all my stories when they are in rough draft mode to the final draft. You watch my characters grow with me. You listen to me bitch, moan… cry…lol.
