I walked around the backyard wondering what the fuss was about inside the house. I sat down next to the door and waited. It seemed to take forever until the door had opened up, I ran to see my sister and there she was with a litter of puppies. I looked at the cute little family and licked my sister's head, before walking into the kitchen to eat. I never seen my sister so happy until now. She has a new litter of puppies and a wonderful mate, Tuck. I began to eat when Tuck wandered inside, he looked at me and smiled. I knew what he was thinking. Before I could speak he walked back into the living room with Lucy, I sighed. Only if I could find me someone special to spend my life with. I walked to my doggy bed and watched the two new parents care for their young.
The next morning I woke to find Lucy and the pups gone, I searched every where ; under the bed, the kitchen, even out the backyard. I walked to my master and over heard where Tuck's masters took and now are caring for the pups and Lucy. I laid my head on his knee and began to whine, "don't worry King" he patted my head reassuringly. I wandered off to the backyard. I laid my head down and rested under the shade. Minutes turned into hours before I heard the front door opened, I ran inside to see a beautiful golden Retriever walking inside. "King, this is Sophie our new dog, and your new friend" my owner brung her inside and let her off the leash.
I walked over to her only to get dissed, she walked right past me and went straight to her dog bed and laid down. I looked at her and just shrugged it off. My master fed me my favorite treat, a big juicy bone. I went outside and began chewing on it, it was so good I looked up and saw her standing in front me. Sophie tilted her head and whined for my bone. I grabbed my bone and went inside and began chewing again. I know it was wrong, but she started it first I chuckled at the thought.
The next morning I woke to her cleaning my fur... Is she trying to apologize to me? I thought. I didn't care, I was getting clean, I shook my fur once she got done. I bowed my head at Sophie and bounded into the kitchen, my Master gave me water and some food, I began to eat. After I got done eating I curled up on my bed for a nap. Moments later I felt Sophie curl up with me too. I opened my eyes to see her green eyes looking back, I just smiled and drifted off to sleep. The next morning I saw Sophie looking over me, "I like you Tuck" she whimpered to me. She talks! I shook my head before replying "You do?" She smiled and nodded before licking my head.
Months went by and our relationship got closer, before you knew it we became mates. She was due February 14, I was waiting for the day to come I just watched her as her belly began swelling with my pups. Sophie wondered into the living room her stomach barely touching the floor, she laid down beside me whimpering. I tilted my head un-aware she was about to give birth, my master ushered me outside. I sat outside beside the doors, waiting.. It felt like hours. Before I knew it my master let me back in, I saw Sophie laying down with our 5 beautiful golden pups.
It was an awesome 5 months with my Sophie and our 5 pups. I listened to my master as he was talking on the phone. I over heard him speak of selling my kids, to some random man. This can't be happening, I ran to my Sophie and told her of the news. Both of us looked with horror at our pups, they were just beginning to walk. I devised a plan to get my whole family out and away from the Takers, we decided to go tonight.
Our plan was to act like we had to go outside, and escape from the open gate. Our master never closed it, he trusted us too much. So that night we sat in the yard, stratigizing about what we were going to do. First, we sent out three pups, and carried the remaining two pups in our mouths. We took them to the abandoned warehouse that was next door to our house. We had no plan of escape. Sophie began whining, I set off for food. I came across two abandoned trash cans. We were in luck. I Found two whole sardine pizza's. I brought both pizza's back to the warehouse for Sophie and the pups, but yet I didn't eat. I planed of escape, escape from the tortures of man....
