I am not what I seem. I am never what you see.
At times I seem transparent, shallow.
Other times I seem smart, deep, understanding, and philosophical.
And even more times still, i seem.... empty, vague, devoid of any character and substance.
Hollow.
What you see is never what you get... 100% of what you get.
There are always demons lurking in the shadows, waiting, darting this way and that, trying desperately to stay in the dark, away from the spotlight of others speculation.
But they always have their 15 minutes of fame. Some not so noticeable.
They fade into the background of the noise and chaos we all call our lives. At times we call these ones phases.
Then there are the others, the ones each and every one of us possess. Some call them quirks, some even call them phases too, and even better yet, habits. Everybody's got them, some of them endearing, good. And the others... we wish we could hide.
The ones we try so hard to hide are always the ones that are constantly poking their heads into the light, under our peers scrutiny.
These ones go by many names, but they are demons all the same to me.
I know i'm different, you do too. The only thing is, you just dont know how different.
No matter how well you think you know me, you will never know what demons I wrestle with day after day, behind the closed door of my mind, and i'll never tell you.
This is just another struggle I need to finish alone.
You couldn't help me, even if you tried.

Like I said, i'm not what i seem. I'm never as I seem.....
