What does it mean to be bound to a land and to be told what to do and where to go? Well this has been an issue since the time of the 17th and 18th century. Where does it all stop and how do we get rid of these issues that surrounds a certain race of people? I want to say that we (blacks) have not only been the ones that have been subjected to slavery over the years. There has been a number of slaves besides the black race, our race has just been exploited on more of than any other race. Why is it that we have been the topic of slavery for so many years and no one else has been targeted like the blacks have been? Now what really gets me is that in the time of Shaka Zulu, there was no coming over there to take the Africans and promise them a certain life and then turn their backs on them and make them out to be slaves. We have fought and we have been in a number of altercations with the white man as far as our freedom, but yet some of our people did not give in to easy. I remember that some slaves refused to stay on the ships to be slaves. I know that some of the slaves literally jumped off the ships in order to be free from the bondage of the white man so that they could be with their god and lord. Why is it that we today do not look at things the way that our ancestors looked at things. The one thing is that since we came to this world or should I say been born into this world, we have embraced the likes of the white man and his ways. See if you really want to know the whole truth about the going back to Africa deal is that this is not our home, this is not our land , this is not where we belong. All this land and all this world we call America belongs to the Indians and we should know this by now. But that is the lack of real education and real knowledge of who we are and where we really come from. Christopher Columbus did not discover America, he did not find this land that we call the world and said that this is the first time that man has set foot on. How can you claim something that has already been claimed by another group of people. Any way we need to look at the topic at hand and see that not only were we slaves then we are still slaves now and the only difference is, is that we are paid slaves and we have nicer things now, then what we used to have when our ancestors were here. So what does that tell you about a land that has not changed a damn bit. I f you look at the head of the class and tell me what do you see and I will tell you that what ever that you see you will see it until the end of time. The white man has come to rule this land and take over completely and it is gonna be that way cause we as a race have not really had the time and space to claim as our own. Back in the time of the once famous writer by the name of Zora Neale Hurston, her father was one of the first to build his own town for his people. Back in those days we had all that we needed and we did not want for nothing, but somewhere something went wrong and it just blew all the hell and that is where shit really got fucked up and screwed the fuck up. I do know that when that Jim Crow came along it was not a bad idea that we did not associate with them and ago to their diners and hotels and things of that nature. You see back in the day we had all of that but it was a group of Negros that was not really satisfied with what they had and they thought that it was not enough or good enough for them. So they complained and fought and they got hung by the necks to try to prove a point that we want what you have (the whites). Let me tell you one thing and you can take this with a grain of salt, I do not intend to down rut my people and put them on the chopping block, but we have to understand that as a people we had all of the shit that we area fighting for today. Okay maybe we did not have all of what we have today but we had the necessities to get us over and under. But just like we are today we area never really truly satisfied with what little we have, and we have not been a thankful people either. I guess that comes from the time of slavery where we had to fight for what we wanted and for what we needed and still today we have that mentality and it will not easily go away. But back to the subject at hand and how that we are still bound by the white man to lord over us and take us to a place where we do not want to go and a place where we do not belong. We have to stand up and fight for our rights to be a proud people that has feelings like the others do. If Latinos, and Japanese and China can come over and really make a way for them how come we can’t make a way for ourselves? This is yet to be seen even when we have our own in the head of the line. What the problem is that our own are in the front of the line and we are in the back of the line waiting for them to come and take us with them, but we are a selfish bunch of shits and think of nothing but ourselves and no one else. So keep praying to god to deliver you and make you whole, you will not see it, it will not happen and I hate to be the one to tell you this. As long as we are selfish, and arrogant and self-centered we will be stuck like chuck and be in the back of the line for a long time now. We have been slaves and we will be slaves to the white race until we all kill each other off like we are doing now.
