PROBLEMS OF BLACK LEADERS
Now I want to begin to say that we have a lot of things that are going good for us. We have black leaders that have the knack to lead us to the place where we need to be. But do they have the longevity that the others have? Do they have the same agenda that other leaders have that are leading their flock to the land of milk and honey. I know that we as the black race have a long way to go, we know too that we have a long way to go and a way still to get there. I do not want to get to the point of saying that we have no skills in what we are doing, cause we do. What we have not is the backing for what we know and for what we have to bring to the table. I know that white America does not want to see the black man get to a point in office to where we will have a voice. But I have to say that that will not stop the whites from taking us aback to where we came from or to where we have never been. I want to say that we have to learn to stand up and just learn to hold on to what we have. Why is it that we are afraid of going ahead and get to the land where god has promised us and to the place to where god has mad for all man; black and white, Jew and gentile. Now just to give you an inside of what I am trying to say is that first we have no program, and we have those that like to live off the poor people of their own kind. We as the black race we grope and we are left in the dark of things as life and the opportunity as others. Now to let you know what I mean as far as a program, I mean that we have no use of what that word means anymore. A program is something that all people need to have to achieve something. I know that we have all things that we want to achieve and things that we want to see come to fruition, but what is it gonna take it to keep it real and keep it alive. I know that I can’t do things all myself and I know that Jesus could not do it all either. We all know that when Jesus went to the land of the leapers he wanted to heal all of them but he could not and he tried and tried but he did not give up and leave them alone. So what makes us not want to really go out and help those that need the real help. This is what kills me and others alike. They do not want to help those that are in dire straits. I know that there are those that come and try to juice the system and get over like rover, but that does not have to be the case to where the ones that are helping to turn away those that come to get this help. So the program has to change and it needs to change for the better and for the ones that need it the most. I love my people and I love all others as well, but I have to side with my people cause I hurt with them and I die with them as they lay dying in the streets and in their own clay. Where we have to start is to not to be another person clay, meaning to allow them to mold us into what they want us to be or to give us what they may think that we need at out time. All that we need is for them to give us enough room to go through the door ourselves and not stop us. So my word for the black leaders of today and the ones that are gonna come up after I am gone is say to you all is to learn to first love your race and learn to love what we are now and what we have become. Don’t ever forget where you came from and know that you will soon be on that same street that you pass by when you see your people dying in the street. I hope that you will one day learn to love your people and for what they stand for. Even though they may be down and out, they are still standing strong and still in much need to give love .
