More Time
Give me time
To start again,
To get through all the anguish and pain.
I look in the mirror
And I finally see
What I want to be and want to see.
I lift up myself
To a higher place;
Full of joy leading me out of the maze.
Yes, I need time
To think, observe,
And decide what it is I deserve.
Give me time;
Iβm not taking your hand;
Not before I learned again how to stand.
With all the bitterness inside of me,
I finally noticed that all this time I didnβt see
What this world really meant to me.
I do not need your help today,
For I will find, for sure, my own way;
This is the place I donβt want to stay.
So give me time
To start again,
To get over all the anguish and pain.
You give me a reason to smile,
You give me a reason to cry;
You give me a reason to be myself, too,
And that is why I love you.
Before My Chance Slips Away
The words inside my mind
Feel like locked up tight,
For I don't know how to say
What my heart is willing to say.
Everyday I spend thinking
About you, and I'm thinking
What it would be like to see
If you felt the same way as me.
I dream of taking your hand,
And surely you'd understand
That it all seems surreal
About the way we'd feel.
I wait near your door,
Only waiting for,
For you to appear,
So we can be near.
Sometimes I think I'm crazy
To hope to be facing
You one time today
Before my chance slips away.
Save Me
Your hand is right above me,
Leading my way through life,
A guide of necessity
Keeping me from pain.
Laughter in my soul,
Protects me from anger,
and unimportant fights
I know I can not control.
Tears fill my eyes,
With the joy I feel in my heart,
To make me stay away
From any kind of struggle.
If
If Life was only life,
And tears only tears,
Joy nothing but joy,
And being simply being,
Then happiness would sink unnoticed
And every smile disappear.
An Impossible Chance
This world is cruel, this world is cold;
The future of our children has been mistold.
We believe in things that make no sense,
Around ourselves we build an invisible fence
Or more like a wall to keep us safe
What we donβt realize it will be our own grave.
Intimacy is not intimacy anymore;
Trying to live up to what is not worth fighting for.
Darkness is ahead in every step of our way,
We canβt live for tomorrow, itβs only today.
An impossible path of perfection seems right,
The chance to survive that way is lite.
Disquietingly
Disquietingly we stroll through time and space,
Feelings for one another disappear from our face.
Dreams drift away like footprints in the sand;
Nothing and no one is holding your hand.
We walk along with steps so large,
Looking back is almost too hard.
A matter of course instead of asking
Trust is the thing weβre forever masking.
Where will we go and dream,
If we miss all the beautiful things unseen?
Will love find a way to live on,
Or will hate make it all gone?
Disquietingly we stroll through time and space,
Feelings for one another disappear from our face.
The future drifts away like footprints in the sand;
Nothing and no one is holding my hand.
When thoughts are drifting away
like the sunset at the end of a beautiful day,
and every word spoken
was the truth in its youth,
then nothing's unpleasant and wrong
at all.
Just a thought
Why do we fall in love, if we fall out of love?
Why do we love, if love gets lost?
I have loved in so many different ways. Been falling in and never wanted to fall out.
Thought I had it all; wished it would never end, but one day I realized, everything I had was gone.
So why do we love, if in the end we break up? I still feel love, but itβs different. Itβs not as it used to be.
How come we never really try to hang on to the things that matter? Instead we take them for granted and when we realize itβs over, we let it go or try desperately to keep it after itβs already too late. I donβt think thatβs the way it ought to be. God gave us the gift of love for a reason, and we throw it away just like that. I donβt want to be like that. I want to love with my whole heart, knowing that feeling will never change. Too often in life we look for the perfection, but never are able to live up to it, so we give up. Life is not perfect, and never will be. Things and people change, and adjusting to change is our only way to make it through. But love should never change nor be in the way; it IS the way. Where would we head if there was no love?
Donβt let me fall out; I wanna fall in - and remain that way.
