Tigerlily

A blossoming evening with fiery gardens striking a protest.
The tender sweet smell receding from them, lifted up by thin air.
Like sweet melons, ripe, with honey glaze; I stuttered.

Dots of self consciousness had confound me
it was deceiving, all too fiery for my blinded eyes to see;
Each petal, each stem,
mind blowing every thought of mindless recovery.

I profaned your name in this glorious soil
not because I share its revolution
but because I am prepared for him to bed me-

-To tenderly suffocate my arrogance and bitterness
while wild tiger lilies and velvet roses approach me
to drink from the fountain that must somehow be bled dry.

A cool nightfall with a warmth cover of soil.
The bitter yet sweet soil that proceeds to convert me,
burying me breathless.

Like swimming underwater without any oxygen, I'm clutter.
Clutter against all odds; I failed to be what I had set myself to become.
