A cloud that floats on by,
Thin and unreachable.
If I was to stretch my arm to hold it,
It would dissolve in my grip.
Condensing into rain drops,
Crying from forgotten memories.
The cloud started out thick and fluffy,
But over time the wind stretched it.
Just a small whisper in the sky,
Like the trail left by an airplane.
Youβd think it was gone forever,
But yet I catch my eyes focused towards the sky.
Every day I see many clouds,
But Iβm only searching for mine.
Its unique then the rest,
No one else even knows it exists.
They too are focused on their own cloud,
Searching to reclaim the forgotten dream.
But I doubt I will ever find it,
For there are multiple clouds that are mine.
Each one containing a dream,
That has been blown away by time.
The breeze is gentle when I focus on one cloud,
But sadly, the rest are farther blown away.
They are the keepers of fond memories,
But even memories go and fade.
If you have ever seen my cloud,
Let me know.
Itβs shaped like a sail,
Free on the ocean bend.
Thatβs why it moved away so fast,
The sail caught the current of wind.
It took my cloud away,
As I was focusing on something else.
Sometimes when I close my eyes,
I see my lovely cloud.
But yet when I awoke,
It was not the cloud above my head.
Maybe I dreamed of this cloud,
Might it not exist?
But that cloud holds my dreams,
So that selfish cloud exists somehow.
Maybe I should just wait,
Till it floats around.
With I sleepy yawn,
I close my eyes.
I dream that I had found my cloud,
And when I awoke,
It was right there.
Floating right above my head,
Whispering what my dream was about.
