Appreciation
Nothing makes you stronger
Than to know,
That someone's by your side;
That someone believes in you;
Stays day and night
And forever by your side.
Nothing makes you appreciate more
Than to see,
What you cannot have,
But what you're owning now;
That makes you cry and laugh
And wish for nothing else.
Nothing makes you love more
Than to realize,
That you are loved by others
And able to give love,
To share it with sisters and brothers,
To share it with fathers and mothers.
Nothing makes you happier
Than to be,
Whoever you want to be,
But still remain yourself
And cross the deep blue see
To reach all of your dreams.
Stay with me
Stay with me.
Never let me go.
Because being without you
Will burn my heart.
Once my heart is burned
I can not love any more,
And all that I dreamed of
Will never be true.
Love I will never feel again;
Pain will always be my friend.
So please stay with me,
And never let me go,
For I don't want a burned heart
Beating in my chest
For the rest of my life.
Raindrops
Raindrops are knocking on my window,
Hoping I will let them in;
They settle down on the window sill,
And I watch them lay down from within.
More and more keep falling down,
From the sky covered in Grey;
But I wish for the sun to appear,
So I get on my knees and start to pray
Though I feel my words are heard,
The raindrops wonβt leave my window sill;
Theyβre still knocking and knocking,
Until I finally let them in.
Thank You
The look of your eyes still remains in my mind,
And makes my heart skip a beat;
Sparkling blue with a hint of mystery,
Had captivated my lonesome soul.
Nothing in the world seemed to matter,
But to be with you, be in your arms,
The safety and warmth I felt,
I canβt describe, itβs been too great.
The touch of your hand still lingers on mine;
Your embrace still makes me weak;
The sound of your voice I hear everyday,
Is the most beautiful song ever heard.
I do love you, this I wonβt hide,
For you gave me strength to move on;
You gave me strength to finally grow up,
And find my place in this troubled world.
Love And Ifs
Find me if you need me
Know me if you care
Love me if you want me
And promise youβll be there.
Dream if you hold on to
Promise if you mean it
Trust me like I trust you
As youβve never seen it
Lose me if I lose you
Hate me if you can
Forget me if you need to
Forget how it began.
As We Are
Birds are birds,
Because they know how to fly
And find their way.
Ants are ants,
Because they gather around
To help one another.
Cats are cats,
Because they keep tiptoeing,
Looking for some love.
Horses are horses,
Because they're strong enough
To care for themselves.
Elephants are elephants,
Because they keep marching
Without losing strength.
Dogs are dogs,
Because they protect
What means most to them.
Foxes are foxes,
Because their cleverness
Makes them unbeatable.
Monkeys are monkeys,
Because they appreciate life
As it is.
And humans are humans,
Because they lost the ability
To understand.
For The One Who Has My Heart
In my dreams I see your face
And feel the warmth of your embrace.
Your present still lingers around
Keeping memories safe and sound.
Your person just wonβt let me go
And my heart beats for you so.
Even if Iβll change my name,
My love for you will always be the same,
Because you were the first one to bring
Sun into my life and make me sing.
And as long as Iβm alive I will
Be the one to be by your side, until
My heart canβt take the pain anymore,
And needs to leave through heavenβs door.
The Letter
I found a letter,
The last one he wrote,
Quite a few years ago;
The paper was crumpled,
The ink got smeared,
Stains of some liquid -
Those must have been tears,
Maybe his,
Maybe someone else's.
I overflew the letter
And found words so unfamiliar,
So I started to read
The pages of three;
From the beginning
To the ending,
His lines sounded sad;
Between those lines,
I heard cries for love,
He really cared,
I didn't know.
What was he thinking?
I thought to myself,
What was he thinking
While writing this letter?
Did he think only of me?
Or was there something else?
I believe there was,
For his lines sounded so sad;
Desperately longing for a love,
That I didn't know existed.
As I finished reading,
I thought of throwing it away,
To forget what might have been;
But inside I felt
As sad as his words sounded,
As I stopped to bin the letter,
So I kept it,
Putting it in a safe place,
And realizing that I had missed
What has been right in front of me,
Before he had left.
Swimming Out
Here we are,
Both you and me,
Standing by the ocean.
The water calls for me;
I can hear it.
One hug, one look,
Nothing else matters anymore.
I love you
and now you will have to let me go.
The sky appears in a beautiful blue;
The wind is pushing some clouds;
The sand beneath my feet
As soft as a blanket -
The most wonderful day.
And yet the sea calls
For me to swim out.
Suddenly I feel the water,
Wrapping around my body
I'm free!
