Life is hard
and a bitch
but that's not reason
enough to take this shit

She claims she hates
lying but does it all the time
while making us work
without knowledge it's a crime

Many have seen this
walked by our sides
listened to our cries
on this backward slide

Is it predictable?
Easy to see
that this shit has happened
before, can't we see?

Repetition still happens
people are still the same low
there is was in our blood
and scars on our souls

What we have
is take for granted
And what we don't have
is never granted

But he also claims
that he knows what's best
but this is God's work
just another test

And he isn't God
especially not mine
and I believe in being Forsaken
because I'm surely not fine

I've seen myself in the mirror
thinking 'who is she'
and do not see my father's face
or my mother's, where is she?

Lost, forsaken
unforgiven, hated
the yelling and screaming
believing that it's fated

Maybe I'll forgive
Maybe I'll forget
I doubt it will work
I'm leaving it to kismet
