The starlight falls
Upon a vanishing horizon
A black sky envelopes the view entirely
Moons hazy mist lingers
On a seemingly glistening lake
Lightening streaking through the backdrop
Followed by ferocious thunder
Vibrations felt on the ground below
Trees shaking in the rushing winds
Waking the owl from his slumber
His white face perched, overlooking
The ever so darkened horizon
