The Beauty Within


Each time I see the mountains
Each time I feel the wind
Each time I hear the words
I remember the beauty within

I walked through the deep forest
I listened to the songs of the birds
I slept in the shadows of the trees
And I felt the beauty within

Each time I hear them whisper
Each time I dream those dreams
Each time I see an eagle
I remember the beauty within

I used to play with fairies
I danced with the spirits of the air
I searched for the end of the rainbow
And I found the beauty within

The endless sky watched over me
The starlight showed me the way
The hidden folks sent me their magic
I never lost that beauty within


Little Moonlight Fantasy


Once upon a time
I followed a hidden path
It guided me
Into the secret garden

I found wild roses
And was captured by their scent
Soft green moss was my pillow
My blanket was a sky full of stars

The misty night took me away
And time was left behind
I woke up and recognized
I was still asleep

So began my dreamful wanderings
Through magic gloom
Along drizzling fountains
Of crystal-cold water
Accompanied by those
Who cannot be seen
Surrounded
By the aura of the old forest

I never escaped the spellbinding beauty
But would I ever have wanted to?
