Read book online Β«Ode to Spring by Dave Garber (most important books to read txt) πŸ“•Β».   Author   -   Dave Garber

I sat out on my stoop today,
with the sun bright in the sky.
Surrounded by the wondrous sight
of snow drifts piled high.

I read a book, there in the cold,
and savored every breath.
For I knew that each short passing day
shall hasten winter's death.

For deep within the piles of snow
the soul of Spring doth lie.
And soon it shall begin its work
of warming earth and sky.

Spring doth abide, it never leaves,
we simply think it does.
For it is timeless, without end,
and is as it always was.

It spreadeth far across our land
a Spirit without end.
And giveth hope, forevermore,
new life it doth portend.
