Harmony

Quietly,
as the sunken mists
hang deep within the gloam.
Slowly,
where meadows change
from grey to green and grassy.
Rising
vapours tint the cobalt skies
above my home.
Hazing,
colours fade from sparkling
hue to harmony.

Gently
tints of Autumn touch the
hardwood forest floor.
Eagerly
the first chill winds seek
shelter in my gown.
Gazing
as stark branches, clear
of leaves, now reappear.
Fading
as sunlight burns the
morning mist from town.

Languor
when the season blends
the ripeness of each Fall.
Tender
fruits and berries, mellow
apples, plums and pears.
Gleaming
as the silver platter shines
in church and hall.
Harmonising
thinking and dispelling
all our fears.
