All you see,
Is a mask,
A lie,
You don't always know,
You cant always tell,
But it's there,
It hides all emotions,
Fear, pain, and hate,
And covers them completely,
With a happy expression,
Even though you don't feel it.


Sometimes it's too much,
And the Mask falls away,
Showing a real feeling,
Or just a blank, lost expression,
You don't want to believe it,
The face that you see,
So you try to forget,
You try convince yourself,
That you see nothing,
And before you know it,
The Mask reappears,
And you try not to think,
About feelings of sadness or guilt,
You push it to the back of your mind,
And suddenly,
You're wearing,
The mask.
