When I was a child,
I always smiled,
thank to Mitzy my love,
you now lay above.

Forever in my heart,
it was hard to be apart,
you could never be replaced,
our memories will never be disgraced.

Your golden yellow fur shining in the sun,
the slow way you would run,
your lovely brown eyes,
but then we had to say our goodbyes.

You got old ,
you got so cold,
you went blind,
but still forever kind.

You were there when I was upset,
you belonged to my nanna collette,
we grew up together,
always out in any weather.
The days passed into weeks then months and sadly years.

The sad day when I had to say goodbye,
I knew you would be happy in heaven up in the sky,
but I will always remember the good times,
when we played our games solving crimes.
I still laugh at the old days,
you followed me everywhere as if I was the latest craze,
you knew me since I was little,
and till the day you got old and brittle.

I love you Mitzy and you were the best doggy ever,
you were always so clever,
loving and I always think about you,
I will be forever true.
