Her eyes were wild with fury and savageness, as she light the match and threw it onto the front porch of the house, which was soaked with gasoline and kerosene. The small burning match soon turned iinto a blazing fire.
She was standing in front of the blaze in a dirty, torn slip.Tears slipped down her already tear-streaked face. The blaze quickly spread from the front porch to the inside of the house.
Her slip blew in the light breeze that had come in as the sun began to set. She was barefoot, her hair was matted with dirt and had an oily gleam to it, and her arms were bleeding from where she had been scratching at it.
She began to sob as the windows blew out from the extreme heat of the fire. And as she fell to the ground screaming and pulling on her hair, a police car pulled up to an old oak tree. Two guys fastidiously got out of the car, ran up to her, and pulled her away from the house as the top floor windows shattered. She screamed with rage and began to violently shake out of the officeres grasp.
"Calm down." The taller of the two yelled ou over the blazing fire. They pulled the estranged girl over to the squad car and put her in the backseat. Her screams came to a halt, but her sobs still racked her delicate body with tremors.
"Alpha beta one." The short one called into his walkie.
"Yes Charlie." a frazzled voice answered back to the man.
"We've got a fire down here by Old Ben's farm. And we got the girl who started it." He told the woman.
"Who is it, Charlie." She asked him.
The girl in the backseat sat knees pressed to her chest, quietly sobbing. She was muttering something, but it was inaudible over the dispatcher's voice. Her dirty, tangled hair fell into her tear-streaked face, covering one of her violet eyes.
"It's Robyn Knight." Charlie told the woman over the walkie.
The woman came back over the walkie with," Isn't that the girl who went crazy?"
Robyn stopped sobbing. She looked up at Charlie with a look that could kill. She put her feet down on the floorboard and grabbed the bars to the backseat, and then she started screaming and shaking the bars.
"I'm. Not. Crazy." She said, pausing inbetween every word.
The taller officer got in the car, grabbed a syringe from the dashboard pocket, grabbed Robyn's arm, and stuck her with it.
Robyn screamed one more time, before her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and she slumped into the seat. Her arms stopped shaking the bars and they dropped onto her chest, which was only just moving. Her breath was slowing down, and her world was filled with darkness.
Chapter Two: Her First Day
Doctor Embry Mcmullen whistled 'For He's a Jolly Good Fellow' as he stepped out of his '08 Lexus. He was a tall, lean man, weighing in at about 190 pounds. He was fairly attractive for a forty-eight year-old. He had almost no grays in his head full of dirty blonde hair. His eyes were the most appealing of his physical appearance.
Dr. EM, as he liked to be called, walked his way to the entrance of the Knight's Sanitarium. The Knight's had owned the sanitarium since 1842, when Arthur Knight, Robyn Knight's great great great etc. uncle, founded it. It was first called William Henry Insititute, after the Election of 1840 when William Henry Harrison was elected into office and then died 32 days later. Shortly after that it was changed to The Arthurian Institute, but the name didn't stick for long. Less than two months after the name had been changed, it took on a new moniker; Knight's Sanitarium. And that name stuck for centuries.
The building may have been centuries old, but it sure didn't look like it. Everything had been refurbished in 2005. The lawn was kept; a soft poignant green was awed by every spectacle that came to either visit or were the staff. The building itself was almost the size of a small castle, expanding out over a span of about 500 or so acres. Water fountainss could be found on either side of the elegant marble driveway. Two knights in silver armor stood, posed as in battle play.
As Dr. EM walked to the entrance, he noticed patients walking around, which isn't unusual but he noticed one particular person. Robyn Knight. She was being escorted up the stairs to the entrance of the building by two policemen.
He had Robyn before. In fact, she was a patient of his. What did the poor girl do this time? He thought eccentricly, as her brisk walked his way to the double doors of the sanitarium.
