Chapter One: Weird Guys

“Grace!” My best friend, Chloe, snapped at me

“Huh?” I asked, feigning confusion

“You can’t just do that space out thing! Kiss the first guy that walks through those doors!” She hissed in my face, pointing at the mall doors

“Jeez-us! Calm down.” I rolled my eyes, “How long?” I winced, knowing she’d make it long

“A minute.” She said smugly

I took a deep breath to calm myself, “Fine.”

We walked over to the mall doors and sat down on a bench near them. Chloe kept nudging me, winking and smirking.

After two minutes I grew bored, “I’m leaving.” I stood up,just as the mall doors opened

Damn it! Damn it all!

Slowly, I turned to see if it was a guy. It was! Gahh!

“Grace.” Chloe glared and pushed me forward

“Wait for me outside.” I said over my shoulder

“Psh! You’ll try to get out of it.” She said smartly

Clenching my teeth, I walked over to the guy. Him and His friends were talking.

Looking back, Chloe gave me a thumbs up. I bit my bottom lip, stopping in front of him.

He turned to me and I got a good look at his face. Dayuuum. He’s sexy!

Light blue eyes stared into my hazel ones. His hair was brown with a little blonde in it, disheveled. My eyes landed on his full pink lips, making my eyes widen at how much I wanted

to kiss them.

Before he could say anything, I grabbed the back of his neck and crashed my lips onto his.

He froze, from shock I assume. Slowly, his lips began moving with mine.

5,6,7,8...

This is the longest minute ever!

His arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to his chest, holding me tightly as he bit my bottom lip, hard. I gasped in pain and tasted my own blood.

His tongue plunged into my mouth, tasting me ferociously. My tongue tangled with his in a heated caress.

I cupped his face with my hands as he deepened the kiss.

“Grace!” I heard Chloe yell, “Time!”

Pulling away from the guy, I looked at his eyes one more time to see that they were red. I ran out of the mall, Chloe right behind me.

We ran all the way to her car. When we got to it, we stopped, panting.

“Dude! You’re bleeding!” Chloe yelled with wide eyes

I wiped my lip and chin off, “Yeah, the freak bit me.”

“Freak?! That man was so hot!” She exclaimed loudly, unlocking the car doors

Looking over at the mall doors, I saw the guy and his friends standing there, staring at me. He had his arms crossed over his chest and his blue eyes narrowed.

Huffing, I got in the car just as Chloe backed out.

“Stupid!” I glared at her as she almost made me fall down

“Sorry.” She shrugged

Rolling my eyes, I buckled up and leaned back in the seat. She drove passed the guys, making me hide my face in embarrassment.

“Man, you got lucky!” Chloe groaned

“How?” My eyes snapped to her

“He’s hot.” She glared at me

“He was.” I agreed as she stopped in front of my house

“Get out of my car!” She yelled playfully

“Fine!” I screamed and got out, slamming the door behind me

“I lurv you!” She laughed and sped off

Shaking my head, I walked up my driveway and into my house.

Why is Chloe my best friend?

She's so weird. That's why.

~Christian~

“Duuuuuude!” Kale slapped me on the back, “She’s was smokin’!”

My mouth tingled from the tasted of her blood. My insides were churning, making me feel sick but amazing at the same time.

My eyes followed the little blue car until it rounded the corner and disappeared.

I touched my lips and smiled a little.

“Oh mah gursh nursh! He’s smiling

!” Kent, Kale’s twin, screamed

My smile dropped instantly and I shot him a cold look, “I was not.”

Kent rolled his eyes, “Whatever, Christian. You like her!”

“I don’t even know her.” I walked away from them, back into the mall

“But you want to.” Why is he so pessimistic?

I shrugged, “I don’t.”

“Chris likes a human! Chris likes a human!” Kale and Kent chanted

“I do not!” I hissed, my anger rising

They both flinched and nodded. My mood changed, I just wanted to go home.

“I’m leaving.” I stated, walking out of the mall

They didn’t try to stop me, knowing they couldn’t.

Grace. That was her name. Grace.

My Grace.

Mine.
