Lilian looked at the door to the orphanage and thought over everything that had happened in the last week. Her father had passed away, and her greedy stepmother tried to kill her so she could inherit everything. Her stepmother was arrested and lilian was sent to this orphanage. "Well I'm sure I'll be fine."said lilian.
"Welcome to the cottage, I hope you like it here. I'll take your things and you follow me." said the woman. Lilian was led to a room that consisted of a bed, a dresser, and a desk near the window. It was a small room, but she planned to make the best of her stay here. "Well my dear I'm going to go make lunch but if you'd like a tour you can talk to quil. He's right across from your room, just across the hall."said the woman. "Thank you ma'am." said lilian.
After the woman left she unpacked and quickly made the room like her old one. Besides the layout and size of the room it was just like home. Afterwards she headed across the hall and knocked on the door. After she knocked she heard five footsteps and then the door opened to show the most handsome boy she had ever seen in her life, and his name was quil.
Quil was tall, with hair like spun gold, and stormy grey eyes. He was gorgeous. His upper lip was delicately curved and fit perfectly with his lower lip, and the eyes were two raging storms. When she realized she was staring she felt heat rise to her face, and looked down. "Hi I'm lilian. I'm guessing your quil. I was told your were the person to ask if I wanted a tour."said lilian. His face lit up in a brilliant smile.
His face brought tears to her eyes. "Are you okay? I'm sure you've been through a lot."said quil. It's not that. She was passed the grieving. She was crying because god had sent her an angel. "No I'm fine I just couldn't help it, your so beautiful."said lilian. She blushed even deeper and quickly apologized. "Maybe I should come back some other time. Goodbye."said lilian. She started to turn when she felt a warm, strong hand grip hers. "No! I mean thank you for the compliment. I was actually thinking the same about you, only I didn't want to embarass you so I didn't say it."said quil. She looked up at him with a tender smile and squeezed his hand.
"Well, well, well. It looks like you made a friend quil."said the woman. "Hi betty."said quil "I just came to tell you that lunch was ready."said betty. "Thank you, we'll be right there." Said quil and lilian in synch. Lilian blushed, quil looked at her amused and they laughed. "Alright romeo, but you and juliet better hurry before the others eat it all."said betty. Betty turned and walked down the hall. "Well maybe she saw what i felt."said quil. "What did you feel?"asked lilian. "Love at first sight."he said. He smiled his brilliant smile, then he gripped her hand and dragged her to the dining hall.
"Whats for lunch betty?"asked quil. "Grilled cheese, and tomato soup."said betty. " Yum! Sounds great!"said quil. " Quil bless your opimistic heart. You can make the dullest day a good one."said betty. " It may have been dull before but with lilian here im sure things will liven up."said quil. Quil led lilian to a long wooden table and pulled her chair out for her. "Thank you !"said lilian. "No problem."said quil. Lilian looked at the grilled cheese and tomato soup and remember how her mother always made it for lilian when she was sick or depressed. She remembered the feeling of warmth as she swallowed the hot soup. Remembering those memories had made her eager to once again feel that comfort. Since she hadn't had grilled cheese and tomato soup since her mothers death, she had nothing to calm her down and no way to vent the pain she felt inside.
"Well, well, well. If it isnt the seven dwarves."said quil. "Ha, ha, ha, how funny quil. Your hilarious."said one of the girls. "I know!"said quil. Quil laughed angelicly. He had a point all of the seven girls were short. Not exactly midgits, but short. "Well I'd like to introduce lilian. She's new. I hope she likes it here, and even though the point of an orphanage is to get a kid adopted I hope she stays a while."said quil. "Me too."said lilian. "Yeah, yeah lover boy. He's totally melting."said one of the girls. "Ew! Dont melt on my knew shoes. Just kiddin."said another. "We all know your kiddin. No one in this orphanage has owned a pair of shoes unless they were used. So basically their new to us. Ha! Well no complaints from me, I like it here."said quil. "We all do. This place is our home, and were one big family. Would you like to join the family lilian?"asked one of the girls. "Well by the look of it I think the only way lilian can join the family is if she marries into the family."said another. "Ha, ha , ha! I'll volunteer!"said quil. "No duh!"said the seven sisters.
Two years later.
Lilian looked at quil and smiled. Quil hadn't changed much in the last to years, but her love for him did. With every passing day she fell more and more in love with him. They'd never left each others sides unless absolutely necessary, since she had first come to the orphanage. After two years of dating, they were both old enough to leave the orphanage. Today was lilians birthday and quil and her were moving into a charming apartment. Though she was finally old enough to inherit the millions her father had left her, her and quil felt fine living in their apartment. She knew that as long as they could look into each others eyes with the same earth moving love that they did now, that the world could end and they wouldn't care because they were together.
Lilian had always loved fairytales when she was young, but her favorite part of the stories was the galant prince. Lilian's favorite story as a child was snow white and the seven dwarves. Lilian looked at her new family and realized that her life was just like that story. Yep, it was there, the seven sisters were the seven dwarves, and ironically the orphanage was called the cottage, but the best part was her handsome prince quil. "Well we better go now, we've got a lot of unpacking to do."said quil. "Bye!"said everyone at the orphanage.
When lilian got in the car she immediatly gripped quil's hand. "If you hold my hand I wont be able to drive love."said quil. Lilian looked at quil with dissapiontment, holding quil's hand had become a necessity. "It's only for a little while love."said quil. "Alright."said lilian. Lilian sat sullenly, but then a thought struck her. She couldn't hold his hand, but she could still look at him. She looked at him as if she were seeing the seven wonders of the world, carefully etching his beauty into her mind. Her eyes trailed his features, his golden hair like spun gold, his eyes feirce and captivating like a storm, his perfectly carved lips, god was an artist. Quil looked at lilian and lilian saw the love raging in his eyes, his eyes were like a hurricane, they were beautiful but there was always the possibility that she would be swept away. Lilians thoughts were broken when she saw a car coming at them with increasing speed. "Quil look out!"screamed lilian. But before he could turn his head everything went black.
Quil entered the hospital with half open eyes. He hadn't slept well since lilian had been put in the hospital. Lilian was in a coma and he couldn't wake her up. I should have paid attention to the road, but how did I know that lilians phsycho step mother would crash head on into his car. He didnt know what to do so he'd stayed next to lilian everyday as if he were in the coma with her.
When quil got near the room he heard voices and when he entered he saw betty and the seven sisters. "Quil there you are we came to see lilian and to tell you some news."said betty. "What news?"asked quil. "Lilians step mother was killed in the crash so she cant face justice, but a man came to the orphanage to inform me that lilian is finally eligible for her inheretance. Apparantly her father is very wealthy, and that's why lilians step mother kept trying to kill her."said betty. "I knew about the inheritance."said quil. "Oh! Well then I guess this trip was useless, other than seeing lilian."said betty. "No it wasn't useless. I'm glad to see you guys."said quil. "We're glad to see you to quil, but we should leave you two alone. See you later dear, and hopefully well rested, and wearing that heart warming smile of yours."said betty. "By betty. By guys."said quil. "Bye!"said betty and the girls.
Quil slumped into the chair next to lilian's bed, the chair he'd occupied the last month or so. "Lilian wake up please. Oh god why didn't I hold your hand? I'm so stupid."cried quil. Quil stood up and stared at lilians unresponding features, and bent and kissed her. Lilians eyelids fluttered and opened. "Lilian!"cried quil. "What a welcome."said lilian. "I'm so glad your awake."said quil. "Me too, I saw my parents. My daddy had me on his lap, and momma was reading me my favorite fairy tale."said lilian. "Which one is that?"asked quil. "Snow white and the seven dwarves, but the strangest part was that I couldn't wake up until the prince kissed snow white. Well I guess that goes to prove that you are my prince."said lilian. Quil lifted lilian and spun her around until the nurse came running in and started yelling at him saying something like " I know your happy, but she needs to be in bed till she recovers.", or something like that, but quil ignored her. Quil didn't care about his surroundings, all he cared about was the laughing angel in his arms. His angel. Lilian. He would never let her hand go again.
One month later
Lilian looked in the mirror and saw a girl in a long flowing white dress. Her mothers dress. Lilian was getting married today and unlike most brides she wasn't nervous. Lilian heard the wedding music playing in the other room and picked up her bouquet. As she walked down the aisle she looked at the family she had made, saw the smiles on their faces, but the one face she really longed to see was quils. When she looked toward the alter she saw his face. His eyes filled with his undying love for her, and she knew at that moment that they would surely live happily ever after. And you know what? They did.
