Solo: Life Sucks, Huh?

There he was just a few steps away, looking like he usually does. Standing with his shoulders down, his long neck bended slightly at the ground leaving his Adam’s apple peaking out on display. He was wearing his ancient blue jeans, a pair of blue and white Nikes and what looked like a new white button down shirt. He looked like he was hurting, depressed, and miserable, like when you take a lollipop from an innocent baby. Even when he was sad he looked handsome. His long golden blonde hair flowing down to his chin looking silky smooth just like you see in shampoo commercials. His eyes were blue teary crystals shedding down on a rainy day. Then there’s me the bystander just watching him hurt. I could just walk up to him and give him one of my grand bear hugs he loved so dearly but I just couldn’t. I betrayed him just like that; I just walked away, away from his heart.
I didn’t blame him hating me, what I did to him was unforgivable, and unimaginably inhuman. It wasn’t me that told the lie, it was an insensitive, careless, selfish creature that lies beneath me; I became a monster in his eyes. I couldn’t look him in the eye after the incident; I was too ashamed and was scarred to even dare speak to him. He didn’t even try to get in touch, but its okay because I moved on. He’s dead now and I can’t just mourn about his death or blame myself for the rest of eternity.
Things are different now; I ran away from my foster home and left Alex, my little brother there until i can take him in as his official guardian. I know he will be in safe hands with Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson they took my brother and I after my parents died. At first we were sent to live with “Maggie” aka my mother’s addicted to drugs sister but she got arrested when she got caught high on marijuana, she’s in jail now. Most kids hate being taken into foster homes but to us it was a miracle, I despised Maggie she was going to screw us up one way or another. Mom and dad never took us to visit her because she was always up to no good.
Anyways, when we first arrived to Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson’s home the welcomed us with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and I can even remember smelling the sweet fragrance it gave off. There were 5 other kids living there including Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson’s kids Justin, Jess, and Jane. Then there were the other foster kids Abby, and Theo.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson’s daughter Jane was 18 when I came and was just about to move out to the big city, New York. She got a scholarship from Parsons University School Of Design. She was a complete beauty she had eyes like diamonds. Her grey eyes were fierce but sweet, she’d put all the guys she walks past by on a spell, and her long luscious blonde hair would make other girls including me envy her. She was so tall, skinny, and had the overall image of a showstopper on a runway. Although she’d make a great super model her heart was in design. I spent a lot of time with her before she left to go follow her dream to become a designer, and she was like an older sister to me. Sometimes she’d make me some amazing clothing that were so lovely people would kill for them, I would model her clothes and sometimes earn a few bucks depending on how good I’d done. She made me feel special like I had belonged in the family, she even gave me her 300$ necklace that was hand made in Italy that I always loved before she left. Jane was the sweetest person I’ve met until she came back on the holidays but as a queen of fashion. She was a hot mess; the big city changed her and stole away her innocence. Her attitude changed and she began bossing me around like I was her assistant or something. She was so rude she even was giving those “What the hell is she wearing looks!” Even her own parents began hating her. Nowadays she’s traveling around the world with her recent fiancé “Jac D’Morie of France” he calls himself. My opinion is she in it for his money a couple years back she had a little more over 3.5 million U.S dollars loan from the bank and if she doesn’t pay back there was going to be some serious issues. Her fiancé isn’t all in also, and I know for a fact he doesn’t love her. For gods sake the guy is gay, I did some background research and found a skeleton in the closet. He was separated by his Japanese boyfriend Lee Coati by his parents because they didn’t want their rich friends to think their son is gay. He met Jane at a fashion runway in London and as Jane described the scene as “Love at first site.” Bull crap I’m the only one that knows she’s still in love with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy, her high-school sweetheart. They split after her move to the big city, and when she got back for the holidays he was engaged to her best friend Katelyn. She cried her heart out to me about it and she told me she really loved him, but I guess he had no feelings toward her. Life sucks doesn’t it?

Then we have the oldest son, Jess Jacobson the guy with the most gorgeous eyes and the sexiest body one can even imagine, a want to be Brad Pitt, can’t blame the kid, he actually looks like him. Well, what can I say? Hmmm…
1. He’s Gorgeous
2. He’s Funny
3. He’s Single
Yeah it was cool to have him as an older brother but as a pain in the neck. He was really self-centered and well though he could get any girl, including me. Yeah I know, ridiculous! He was the athletic type, he was the popular guy, the all star of his school and he had a talent of singing, dancing, and acting. Yeah… a Brad Pitt. He wasn’t always the good guy; a little dangerous I would say. He got caught up in a mafia group and well he sort of pissed the mob boss off. He was very suspicious for a couple of months then one day he didn’t come home and Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson called the police to go out and search for him. He was missing for 3 weeks, and then one day Mr. Jacobson got a mystery call from this Italian dude and the guy said that he knows where Jess was. He demanded 5 thousand in return for him and Mr. Jacobson got him back home and safe. He was very sick, shocked, and paranoid about what had happened to him. After he recovered he got himself a girlfriend but he isn’t the same guy he was at first. He’s married and has a baby boy named Andrew. People say his life turned out for the best, a rich surgeon, a smoking hot wife and a perfect life, but some things just don’t seem right to me.
Lastly we have Justin, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson, little brother of Jess and Jane. He is what I can just say is a quiet mystery guy. He doesn’t talk much and always has his head stuck in a book or comic. He gets bullied in school and is called a nerd, dork, or geek. Certainly not like his popular jock brother and not like his beautiful sister. The odd one out in the family. He has red hair and green eyes, and has flabs for a six pack. He is sort of a loser but no one understands him. His voice is squeaky and high pitched, not attractive. I think he likes me but he’s my foster brother and it’s a little creepy… He always gets nervous around me and can’t manage to say a single sentence that makes the least bit of sense. He’s older than me in a few months but I still see him as a little brother.

Abby my best friend and maybe only real friend, she came to live with the Jacobson family when she was 12. Her parents abused her and hated her since she was born. Her mother Teresa Gomez came from Mexico to the U.S illegally when she was 11 and lived in a ghetto down south. Her father was a Puerto Rican American, Antonio Ramirez that also lived in the ghetto, in fact her parents where neighbors. When her mom was 15 and her dad 18 first started dating her dad raped her mom and drugged her so she wouldn’t know it was him. Her mom got knocked up and didn’t know who the father was since she was drugged. Her dad didn’t want to confess what he did, so he broke up with her mom and left her pregnant and alone. After giving birth to Abby her dad came back and decided they should raise Abby together as a family. They lived in poverty and couldn’t afford much; they blamed Abby for all their problems. Antonio tried rapping Abby and Abby ran away; her parents found her and abused her constantly. Then she ran away again but this time the police found her and she confessed about what was going on at home. Abby is like me, grateful for coming to the Jacobson home. She’s the little sister I never had, and I tell her everything about anything. She’s 15 now and she’s afraid her parents might come back for revenge. She has nightmares about them coming back to her trying to kill her and hurt her. She goes through special therapy and it still recovering from her past.

Theo, the little future comedian always cracking a joke or two. He’s suffered the most from all of us; he has been a foster child since day one. His mother died giving birth to him and he doesn’t know his father. He thinks he is the reason his mother died and that if he wasn’t here she would still be alive. He searches for his father but never can find an exact answer. He hates himself, his life, and he’s been to countless foster homes. He loves Abby but she doesn’t know, his little secret but he doesn’t think he’s good enough for her. He is a bird that still doesn’t know how to fly.
Then Me, Hazel Cretan, the perfect foster daughter, the middle sister, and the beauty. That’s not me anymore now I’m Just Natalia Castro, the rebel, the traveler, the mystery girl and the exotic one. I switched from my natural blonde hair to jet black hair, and I now wear green contacts over my blue eyes. I tan every now and then to give the illusion of being an exotic beauty. I ditched my sweetheart perfect daughter look to boots, leather jackets and ripped skinny jeans. I sold my Toyota Car and got a motor bike for a little change up, and the cherry on top is I am no longer a Caucasian American but an Italian Aussie. No more family or friendship’s, I
