I squished the cigarette under my foot, rubbing it into the ground so it went out and I stuffed the lighter back into my small pouch. My savior kit. I knew it was slowly, incredibly slowly, killing me, but I didn't care, I just brushed it off and got on with my life, even though nothing could get the memory of their lip-locking out of my mind, he even had the nerve to say 'it isn't what it looks like', but we all knew it was.
I sighed, grabbing my skateboard from the ground and I took a swig of coke then sprayed my perfume on to mask the cigarette, it was almost time for school, time to face that cheating asshole.
That's right, I, Ashton Nicole Brittany Ammara, had been cheated on, and he was so going to regret it.
I placed my skateboard on the road, ignoring the sidewalk, and took off.
I used to be popular, I probably still was a little, but I would brush them all off, it wasn't like I had a real best friend in there, my best friend was in a different school, along with my other best friend. Kyle and Shaylee, they already smoked, so it didn't bother them that much when they learned I was smoking, but then again, when I told them last night, they were pretty drunk and all of there words were slurred.
I sighed, going faster as I hit the hill that sloped to the school, I could see all of the cars there already, I fought back the ache in my heart because of my cheating ex and put on a smile, my long brown hair whipped behind me in the air as I came closer to the school.
I had learned to skateboard many years ago, I had been friends with a family of boys and a mother, but they had moved five years ago when I was twelve, I thought they were cousins then, but unfortunately they weren't and we lost contact when they moved with only a small warning.
I reached the school and suddenly, my shorts felt tight, I had worn the ones James, my ex, had liked best just to rub it in his face. I had bought a new shirt that showed my flat, tight stomach if I raised my arms, he had always liked that I didn't have to starve myself to be in shape unlike most of the popular sluts, they barely ate and when they did, it was only nibbles.
I flipped the skateboard into my hand, walking through the door as people watched me with wide eyes, I didn't bother seeing if anything was showing in my bag because I had safely stored my small pouch below everything else, and below a dress that I kept in case a slut decided they didn't like me at the moment.
I reached my locker hearing words about me being spoken everywhere, some not so nice, some actually funny, I swung open my locker and stuffed my bag then skateboard into the locker, taking only a pencil.
I slammed my locker shut, walking towards my first class with my head down, hair draped around me, hiding my face in case anyone saw the red spot on my cheek from falling in the morning, and because of the long, thin scar on my forehead from years ago, I couldn't even remember where I got it.
I was walking when I slammed into a hard chest, bouncing back immediately and stepping away, trying to walk around him but he caught my arm.
"Aren't you going to say sorry?" He asked and I laughed.
"Aren't you going to get a brain?" I asked and tried to yank my arm away put he squeezed tighter and I bit the inside of my lip to stop from crying out as he shoved me against the wall, I could see who it was now, the skaters, or whatever your want to call them, I hated them to the core, they annoyed the hell out of me.
"Seems you're the one who need a brain, one person already told you that probably," There leader, Ben, poked my scar and I flinched, trying to pull away as I shook hair over it.
"Let. Go. Of. Me," I growled at him, kneeing him in the crouch and stabbing his arm with my pencil and he released, groaning in pain as he flopped to the floor, clutching his balls. I let out a laugh before fleeing as fast as I could, seeing his friends coming after me, but they froze when they saw the halls becoming crowded and turned back. I was walking again when some patted my shoulder and I turned to look at James.
"We're over, you lying cheating asshole, don't ever talk to me again!" I said angrily, slapping him in front of a crowd of people who were watching with wide eyes, we had been the schools favorite couple for a entire year, "I hope you have fun with that whore Lisa!" I yelled at his face, slapping him on the other cheek so he had a red hand mark in. I heard everyone gasp when they heard Lisa's name, they would probably give her hell when they found her.
I turned away, walking swiftly to my class and to my seat with everyone else who was flooding in. I tried to force a smile but I couldn't, I just left my lips straight instead of forcing them to look happy.
"Is that why you weren't at the movies with everyone else?" I heard Josie ask and I turned to look at her, nodding.
"Apparently he thought he could take two girls to the movies, while making out with the wrong one," I mumbled and she gave me a sad smile.
"I'm so sorry, you guys were so cute together, and believe me, James and Lisa are going to get hell, I already hear that the rest of the football team are planning something to keep him out of the game next week and if he gets in, to not let him do anything, maybe even make him unable to play," Josie said and I forced a small smile.
"Thanks," I murmured as the teacher glared over at us.
"Would you like to share anything, Ms. Ammara?" The teacher asked and I nodded.
"Yes, sir," I said, smiling at my last name slightly, I loved it, "Mr. Torin over here," I began, pointing at James a couple of seats away who was watching the bored blankly and jumped when I said his last name "Was cheating on me with Ms. Ryon over there," Again, I pointed at Lisa near the back, "In my driveway when Mr. Torin was supposed to be taking me out on a date,"
"Is that all, Ms. Ammara?" He said, sounding slightly amused and I frowned, shaking my head.
"No, sir," I said, "Can I get a restraining order on Benjamin Frank? I think he's going to try and snap my neck, I really don't feel like running away from him and his groupies," I finished, knowing fully well that two of his groupies were in the class and they were both glaring at me.
"Okay, Ms. Ammara, since you have interrupted so much of our lesson, you should go tell the principal your orders," He said and I frowned while the groupies smirked, I had no idea what there problem was.
"Yes sir," Was all I said, knowing fully well that after I went to the principal's office, I was leaving school, I didn't fell up to it today.
I stood, leaving my pencil as if I was coming back, and walked out the door, straight for the office. As I was getting close tot the door, I heard someone call to me.
"Wait up Bitch," I saw Ben and my eyes went wide, I rushed to the door, opening it and closing it so it made a sound and the secretary heard me. I walked up to her and smiled at her while she smiled back, my mom had gone to school with her, they had been friends.
"Hi, Mrs. Sampson, Mr. Den told me to come here, I was asking for someone to give someone a restraining order, he told me you could help," I said, and she let out a laugh as the door opened and closed again and I saw Ben standing there, glaring at me.
"Great! He's here, he can sign it without someone having to chase him down!" I said, smiling as the principal came out.
"Why, Benny, why are you here?" Principal Frank said and I suddenly made the connection, they had the same green eyes.
"He's here to sign the restraining order, he needs to stay away from me before he gets to break my neck," I said, smiling at the principal as he frowned at Benjamin.
"Well, um, I'll just get the paper," Mrs. Sampson said and I smiled and mouthed 'Thank you' to her and she just smiled before disappearing into a doorway and out of my sight. I turned my head and looked at the principal who was now glaring at Ben who had a sheepish smirk on his face.
"What did you do now? Your mother will be hearing about this," The Principal said and I waited patiently, watching the ground with my hair covering my face to hid my smirk.
"I... Um, I think I may have threatened her..." Ben mumbled, watching the floor as hid father stared him down, all of his courage and bravery was gone, dispersed into the air.
"And he may have sent two of his buddies to chase me down," I muttered and Ben glared at me and his father glared harder at him.
"Grounded, and detention," His father said before turning to Mrs. Sampson who approached empty handed.
"It seems we don't have any left, the file was destroyed by someone, I am sorry, I'll try and retrieve it, though it is unlikely," She said quietly, shooting me a sorry look and I faked a small 'it's fine' smile, though my insides were full of despair, as were my eyes and the principal seemed to notice that and yanked Ben into his office to talk.
"I'll be going now, Mrs. Sampson, don't forget afternoon tea tomorrow with my mom," I said, flashing her a even faker happy smile while she nodded.
"Have a good day, Honey," She said, using her nickname for me since I loved honey when I was little, it went on every food in my mind, even ice-cream.
I walked outside, running to my locker and I grabbed my skateboard, slinging my shoulder bag over my shoulder as I skateboarded down the hall, hearing quick footsteps and then wheels, I sped up, flinging myself out the front doors as I grabbed the skateboard in my arm, running up the hill to get up faster.
I could hear the faint sounds of wheels far away and it told me they had just hit the parking lot. Perfect. I dropped my skateboard at the top of the hill and continued on, my hair flapping in the breeze as I went faster and faster, until all I could hear was the wind howling in my ears, no more wheels, I had lost them.
I smiled and fought the urge to whoop. I headed for my favorite beach, it was secluded and I only knew about it, except my two real friends, I had brought them here once in one of
