Chapter 1: The News

In the middle of the night there was a loud crackling noise. Jenna got out of bed. She went to the window to see if it was coming from there, but when she saw it behind her she spun around quickly but nothing was there. She looked all around her room. Nothing was there. She was heading back to bed when she saw a silhouette of a person. She asked who it was but they were gone before she could get any closer. She looked through the whole house but found nothing that stuck out, so she went to bed. He was watching her sleep when he heard a loud cracking noise. He turned when he heard her moving. Even though he doesn't know her name, he had been drawn to her. Since the first time he saw her in school, he felt a connection.

She felt a connection to whomever was in her room. She thought that it was a dream but, when she was on her way to her bed she pinched herself. She wished that she asked why they were there instead of who they were. The next day on her way to homeroom she ran into a guy and when they collided she felt the same connection as last night but when he said, "I'm sorry where are your books. By the way I'm Sebastian." "Jenna." She dismissed the thought because why would he come to her house in the middle of the night? He was the same height as the person in her room though.

The bell rang and they had to go so they agreed to meet at lunch. As the classes drug by all she could think about was Sebastian. All Sebastian could think about was Jenna. When the last bell rang for lunch they were so happy. When he walked in the cafeteria he spotted her. She sat alone. Her head was turning and he realized that she was looking for him. He walked up to her and said, "Can I sit here?" At his voice she jumped and then turned to face him and said, "Of course you can." As they talked a lot of people stared but they didn't realize until the bell rang. When they were leaving school they ran into each other and he offered to walk her home.

As they were walking they talked. They found out that they have a lot in common and when they looked at where they where they saw that they almost pasted her house. "Sebastian do you want to come in?" "Sure." When they got in the house Jenna went straight to the fridge for a drink. "Do you want anything?" "Hmm water please." Jenna tossed a bottle of water at him. "Thanks." After that they went upstairs to her room where they did their homework together and then talked more. After a little bit Sebastian said, I have to go. Goodnight." "Night." But before he left they made plans to see a movie together. The next day Sebastian walked her to and from school. They had most of their classes together so they got to talk more because they would sit together and at lunch they would too. That became a normal thing for them. One day Jenna's mom came into her room. "And who is this?" At her mom's voice Jenna jumped. "Mom this is Sebastian. He has been walking me to and from school and helping me with my homework." " Nice to meet you Mrs. Moon." "It's Ms. and call me Char. I'll let you two get back to work."

As soon as Jenna's mom left she fell on the bed laughing. "What's so funny?" "Well my mom never comes in without knocking." "How is that funny?" "Well she always get's this feeling when i have friends over. I expected her a lot earlier than now. "Oh well good thing I'm just studying with you then, ha-ha." "Yeah." Jenna said sadly. How was she suppose to tell him she likes him? He couldn't believe what he just heard himself say. He couldn't just be friends with her, she was his mate. He knew ever since when he bumped onto her at school. He would just have to wait because she didn't even shift yet. He didn't want to see her in pain, the first shift is always the most painful. He had to be there though to help her get through the pain.

"Jenna do you want anything to drink?" "Hmm yeah, can you get me a water?!" Sebastian was on his way to the fridge when Jenna's mom stopped him. "Your her mate aren't you?" "Yeah I am and how is it she has no idea what she is?" Because I was hopping she was normal and didn't have to go through what everyone else had to." "Oh really what would that be?" "Not getting to choose who to be with. Also, the pain of having to shift. The secret is what drove her father away. I don't want that for her." "She won't have to worry about me leaving because it hurts me every-time I have to leave her side. I couldn't leave if she told me to." "Well just leave it to me to tell her." "Okay." Sebastian went and grabbed a water and a 7-up. When he got back upstairs Jenna was hysterical.

Her mom was explaining everything. "You kept this from me for seventeen years and never bothered to think 'hmm... if I were her would I want my mom to lie to me?!'" "She probably did it so that you could have a normal life till you shifted." "Oh so now your defending my mom. This day just keeps getting better and better. Oh and if you expect me to learn about being a wolf alone you are seriously crazy." "No. I'm going to help you." "Wait you mean to tell me that your a wolf too?!" "Yes but, I'm not just any wolf, I'm the Alpha, and I'm your..." Sebastian's voice drifted off. After he didn't finish his sentence she got annoyed. "YOUR MY WHAT?!" "I'm your mate." "There's no way."

"Jenna calm down your going to faint." "CALM DOWN! YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN! I WILL NOT CALM DOWN WHEN I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE GUY I HAVE BEEN HANGING OUT WITH IS A WOLF. OH, YEAH AND SO AM I?! THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN." Jenna ran to the bathroom and locked the door. "This has to be a dream. This can't be happening." "Jenna open the door we need to talk." "I don't wanna talk." As soon as she said that she started to cry. "Jenna open the door NOW." She started to cry harder. "Jenna come on unlock the door so we can talk." She didn't answer so he went away and eventually Jenna cried herself to sleep leaning on the bathtub. She woke up to someone knocking on the door. She expected it to be Sebastian but it was her mom. "Hey sweetie, please come out. I have to talk to you."

Jenna get's up and unlocks the door. She says, "He could have broken down the door couldn't he?" "Yes sweetie, he could have but, he would never hurt you. Well not intentionally." "Is this why dad left?" "Yes sweetie, it is he found out when you accidentally shifted in front of him." "So it's my fault he's gone." "No it's not it's mine, I should have told him." "But then you wouldn't have me." "Yes and I wouldn't have it any other way." "Where's Sebastian? I have to apologize. I had no right to treat him that way." "He went home. But, I can drive you there if you want?!" "YES PLEASE!"

Chapter 2: Learning

Char got the car and Jenna hopped in. "Seatbelts." Then they were off. When they got there Jenna jumped out of the car and ran to the door. She rang the doorbell and Sebastian answered the door. She jumped into his arms and said, "I'm so sorry. I had no right to treat you that way. You are my only friend and I can't have you hating me." "I could never hate you. You took the news better than I did." "But I locked myself in a bathroom and cried myself to sleep." "Ya I didn't talk to my parents for a month and I threw a table." "Wow I guess I did take it better, haha. It would have been worse if you weren't there though." "Them I'm glad I was there. When you shift I will be there too. Jenna, it hurts me to be away from you. And while were telling secrets, I was the one in your room that night. I'm so sorry, but I had to be sure. I had to know if you were my true mate." "How many times have you been in my room without telling me?"

"I don't see-" Tell me." "Just that once." "Ok then. Other than scaring me to death there was no harm done. Why didn't you anwer me when I asked who was there?" "I uhmm... well I just didn't want you to think that I was some kind of stalker. I mean if you were shifted already you would have been able to feel me and reconize me as your true mate." "Well hehe... I did reconize the guy in my room but I dismissed the ideas when you talked to me. I mean you talked to me. I mean I got the same vibe from you as the guy in my room. I get this wierd feeling when I touch you. It feels like you are the part of me that has been missing all these years."

"I get that feeling too. It is because we are true mates." "What would it feel like if we were just mates?" "It... well it would feel like their energy is touching one another." "Oh well are your parents home?" "Well actually they are in Peru for another month. But you can come in and stay for a little while, if you want." "Okay. I have to go tell my mom to go home." Jenna ran to talk to her mom. "Mom I'm gonna stay for a little bit." "Ok be safe. Love you!" "Ok. Love you too! I'll see you later." "Bye." Jenna ran back to Sebastian.

"Can I come in?" "Of course." He moved out of the way to let her in. They go inside and start talking. "Okay,  wolf-boy tell me more about yourself." "Well what do you want to know?" "I want to know everything about you." "Okay well, I'll answer one of yours, you answer one of mine." "Okay, fine." "So what do you want to know first?" "Well I really want to see you shift, can I?" "Okay." "YAY!" Sebastian shifts into his wolf. "WOW!" He came up to her and he was a little taller than her waist. He put his muzzle out for her to pet
